Welcome ArtDataArt!
Hello ArtDataArt. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I'm Paine Ellsworth, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{Help me}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Notice

The article AccessArt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The Guardian article cited is written by Briggs and seems to be more about her opinions on art than the organisation itself. All the other coverage I've been able to find such as this 2002 article also from the Guardian barely goes beyond mentioning the name. Unfortunately seems unlikely there will be enough coverage to meet WP:NORG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi @Alpha3031,
Thank you for your message. I agree that newspaper coverage of AccessArt is insufficient, which is a shame.
However, I interpreted WP:NONPROFIT to have been met because:
The charity's scope is genuinely national with tens of thousands of schools paying for membership, representing the majority of schools in the UK.
The schools individually refer to the charity's authority, for example by referring to the charity's guidance, informing their teaching of Art and the shaping of their curriculums. So there are thousands of independent reliable organisations referring to the charity as an authority.
The schools also each provide 'coverage' of the educational materials provided by the charity.
The charity therefore affects tens of millions of UK students annually, which clearly constitutes "significant or demonstrable effects on culture, society and education" as required by WP:NORG.
'Notability' isn't just what's in the press.

Is there any coverage that is from organisations both independent of AccessArt and has a reputable fact checking process? We do still need some sort of coverage in order to be able to have an article compliant with the core content policies which is why you still need to meet point 2 (see also WP:WHYN). Nomination of AccessArt for deletion

[edit]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article AccessArt is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AccessArt until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Hi @Alpha3031,
Just a thought, would merging this article to Visual arts education#United Kingdom be most appropriate?
Thank you,
