Request reason:
Hello, I was unaware that own companies cannot write about themselves and that this is classed as advertising/self promotion, my apologies. However in my defense, how can you expect anyone to write about anything without there being any kind of advertising/self promotion? The reality is anything on the Internet, including Wikipedia is a form of advertising. I did not create this article with the intention of advertising. I created this article from a neutal point of view. I understand that Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia, not a place to showcase your business, but if I didn't include the information I had written, which has been classed as advertising/self promotion im sure it wouldn’t be no where near as informative of what it is now. I ask you to read other kart manufacturers Wiki's and tell me what you think. Hopefully we can work something out. How about Octavius39 for a new username?
Decline reason:
At this time I'm going to decline your unblock request. We often go by a simple rule concerning the application of WP:COI. The rule is this: If your organization is notable enough, someone who doesn't have a vested interest probably has or eventually will write an article about it. Your suggestion that the article was written from a neutral point of view tells me that you either are intentionally being misleading or you have a poor understanding of Wikipedia's idea of a neutral point of view. The article is blatantly promotional and has no place on the project in its current state. All of this does not address the primary reason I am declining your request, however. I rarely unblock new users whose only contributions consist of either spam or the creation of promotional pages. The reason for this is simple: These users rarely have any interest in the furtherance of the project, except in whatever capacity it can benefit them and promote the subject of their article. Such is the very essence of WP:COI. If you choose in the future that you might be interested in the betterment of Wikipedia as a whole, then please request another unblock along with an explanation of what articles or functions you wish to help write or maintain. Otherwise, have a good weekend. Trusilver 07:37, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
Thanks for your response Trusilver. Let me start by telling you I understand why I am in this situation now, and I accept this. As for our different views on what you & I think is a neutral point of view, we will have to agree to disagree. As for you thinking I have a minimal interest in bettering Wikipedia, I take that as an insult. I can only improve on topics that I have knowledge in, and that happens to be go karts and other motorsport like topics. Unfortunately my knowledge lies heavily under WP:COI (Personally I think my username is the COI not the information I have posted). But does this make the information not valid? I think not. I was improving the "karting" areas of Wikipedia with more relevant & accurate information. But if it has to come from someone with no vested interest, then so be it. Don't take this the wrong way, but do you really think that the people that create/edit articles about products like go karts (or most sellable products) have no vested interest? You would have to be very naive to think so even if there usernames aren't as obvious as mine.
Decline reason:
You do not seem to have read up on how things work around here. In particular, it is worth noting that Wikipedia is about verifiability, not truth. Also, the idea that people only (or even mostly) write articles about subjects they are knowledgeable in or have a vested interest in seems to miss the point as well. I am not alone in creating and editing articles about which I had zero knowledge until I saw the article in question. Wikipedia is about knowledge, not promotion, and it's about notability.

Spam in Arrow Karts
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Arrow Karts, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Arrow Karts is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Arrow Karts, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. AfD nomination of Arrow Karts
[edit]I have nominated Arrow Karts, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arrow Karts (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Speedy deletion of File:X1 cik.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:X1 cik.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:X1 cik.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free media (File:Arrow FullBody Shadowsweb.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Arrow FullBody Shadowsweb.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:16, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
