EndUN Userbox
[edit]Hi, until recently you displayed my EndUN userbox on your user page--I'm glad you liked it. What you may not realize is that on June 29, User:Dmcdevit edited your user page and replaced the code with code more to his her/his liking. Among other things, this action partially and selectively depopulated Category:Wikipedians interested in the United Nations--most likely removing your user name from the category.
I'm disputing the actions of Dmcdevit at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2007_July_1#User:DieWeisseRose.2FUserboxes.2FEndUN. So, please consider having a look and joining in the discussion. In the meantime, if you want to put my original userbox code back on your user page then here it is: {{User:DieWeisseRose/Userboxes/EndUN}} Cheers. --DieWeisseRose 03:42, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Maurice Ravel and the public domain
[edit]Hi Arronax50. I noticed that you added a note to the Maurice Ravel article claiming that his works would enter the public domain in 2008. I don't believe that's true--works published between 1923 and 1963 are protected for 95 years from the publication date if their copyright was renewed, in the United States anyways. [1] There's an article which states that most of his works will enter the public domain in 2015, so that's what I've changed the article to say. ~MDD4696 01:32, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- You're right, and even in France it won't enter the public domain in 2008 because of WWII Arronax50 (talk) 17:01, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Marc Veyrat
[edit]A tag has been placed on Marc Veyrat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. michfan2123 (talk) 02:16, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- I was considering adding more content later (pic + bio), it is quite late in France and I've got to rest. Concerning the guy, he had two three-star (Michelin), 20/20 (GM) restaurants, until he sold one of them, which is quite noteworthy. Wikipedia has an article about a British guy who mixed 5 Snickers and soft cheese on TV, so why not an article about Veyrat ? Arronax50 (talk) 02:30, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Arronax50! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person.
