Peer Review for Farmington Gabbro

[edit]

You need to put "Farmington Gabbro" in bold in your introductory paragraph when you first mention it. You also put two locations for where it is. I know that it's within two complexes, so maybe you could create a location section explaining that in more detail. Maybe just say western NC in the intro part to keep it brief. For your thin sections, you need to put a scalebar in the image. Talk to Dr. Carmichael and she'll give you a scalebar that you can edit onto these. I would also suggest adding a description of what each thin section is showing in the captions. For your regional map, you note that the complex is shown in red on the zoomed in map. However, it's red on both maps, so you could just say that it's shown in red. There's some weird punctuation in the mineral differences section. You describe the alternate type of rock as: "a olivine, pyroxene, hornblende gabbronites." I would suggest: "an olivine, pyroxene, hornblende gabbronite." Another grammatical error is: "there is outcrops" in the outcrop section. I would suggest changing it to "there are outcrops." You should probably move the bulk rock chemistry table to the petrology/mineralogy section, if it details the whole pluton, instead of the alternate minerals. If it does, make note of it. While your citations seem fine, citations one, two, four, and five are all locked behind paywalls. At least for the links you've provided. There really isn't that much here. I know that there is next to no info on the outcrop, but try and find some more if you can. This unit honestly sucks, but you've got this.Marguliesgm (talk) 23:55, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
