hop hop hop Go ArkyBot, go!! ~Eliz81(C) 23:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright! The first run through looks pretty good, especially for a trial run. Here's some thoughts that I had thus far:
- Looks like it's having trouble parsing non-standard character article titles. Can it be fixed, or if not, is editing it manually ok?
- Synonym suggestions:
- Question -> comment
- Rewrite -> keep
- Transwiki -> move
- Reply -> comment
- Observation -> comment
- Smerge -> merge
- CSD -> delete
- Save -> keep
- Neutral -> comment
- Undecided -> comment
- Comments -> comment
- All words with comma on end -> Word minus comma (see here; maybe also colon?)
- At some point, we're gonna want to get the word out on this, so everyone knows that there's a replacement AfD tracker. A ton of userpages link to DFBot's. Ideas for how: Sending news tip to Signpost? BOLD updating of pages that link to the old summary? Creating a handy dandy template to insert into people's userpages (I'd go for that!)? Posting messages about the Bot to the relevant talk pages? Updating the bot's userpage to include this functionality? Perhaps these are all more appropriate after it finishes its trial run.
- Just out of curiosity, how often and when does it update? Might want to say this on the main page, sorry if I missed it.
- Would a subpage for "articles needing to be closed" be useful? It might help admins out.
All in all, I'm so pleased! ~Eliz81(C) 02:14, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
