This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Richard Durand, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://goa.indivibe.com/people/richarddurand. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 19:11, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As your vandalism of my user page shows, you must have noticed that I deleted Richard Durand, based on the copyright violation found by the bot above. It is ok to use information from other web pages, but the text of a Wikipedia article must be in your own words, and this one wasn't. You may feel free to re-create the article as long as you write it yourself rather than copying and pasting it from somewhere else. However, it would also be a good idea to cite reliable sources establishing notability of the subject, to make the article less likely to be deleted for other reasons. And please, find a more constructive way of expressing your disagreement with decisions such as this. —David Eppstein 19:27, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to User:David Eppstein, you will be blocked from editing. —David Eppstein 19:29, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TERMINAL.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TERMINAL.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Velvet (band)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Velvet (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion G1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Velvet (band)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Velvet (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Velvet (band)

[edit]

I deleted this article, but did read your original content. It seems that while Velvet Revolver played in London, a band called Velvet (band) played in Rome, according to the lists. There is no article here on this band, but they have an article on the Italian and Dutch wikipedias. In the future, a concern like this should be discussed on a talk page, such as Talk:List of Live 8 artists. Rigadoun (talk) 18:58, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Ashok Mohan Suntribe

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ashok Mohan Suntribe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
