Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Arham Tanveer. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Teague Egan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. It's fairly obvious you have some sort of relationship with Teague Egan and/or Olive Writing Hub's pay-for-a-Wikipedia-article service. As i told the other obviously connected user in this case, now would be a good time to start being honest. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:08, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

- Really? Because it would be a pretty amazing coincidence that you chose to move this out of draft space and into article space seven minutes after it was created by an obvious paid editor. So, you would ask that we believe that by mere coincidence you and this other person you have no association with suddenly became interested in writing about the exact same perosn within the same ten-minute period? Are you sure that's what you meant to say?
- It seems more likely to me that either you are the exact same person, or that person asked around for a confirmed user to move the page for them. Beeblebrox (talk) 04:08, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

Issue
[edit]I have no connnection with anyone of them just so you know it is not my first time working on any article and helping the community furthermore I myself a Pakistani guy and Yesterday I searched for the company who is creating that which is in New york USA and I know you would come up a theory that they either pay me or ask me to do that but I am assistant vice president for a software engineering company so money is not a problem for me as far as your concern I was searching for 1 record company of this guy and was trying to create a page saw the page therefore I moved it after reviewing the content and as a senior contributor it is something I can do Arham Tanveer (talk) 20:50, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
- I would again advise you to reconsider honesty as your story is completely unbelievable.
- But even if anyone did believe it, here's what you have done so far on this project:
- created a page on a valid subject, but that page had a very obvious point of view problem, and no appropriate sources and had to be basically completely rewritten by others to make it comply without most basic content policies.
- Created another article on a valid topic, Walkman DD Series, but you didn't actually write that article, it was a copyright violation in its entirety and again, had to be compleely redone by others to make it acceptable.
- <nothing for five years>
- And then yesterday, you used your autoconfirmed status to help an obvious paid editor move a page out of draftspace, claiming you "reviewed the content" when in reality it had only even existed for a few minutes.
- Not a very impressive record, it's arguable that you should be blocked even if your version of recent events was remotely believable, which again, it isn't. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:19, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
{{Unblock|1= Dear concern, I do apologize for the recent mistake that I made that I didn't check into the creator of the page before moving it and also start making changes, my sole purpose of doing that to help the community however now I know what were my mistakes furthermore I do not have multiple accounts however I use different devices in my office, university and home to login into my account which may be the cause of this problem as all those devices are share with different people but yet I take complete ownership of my mistakes and promise not to do anything like this in future. Awaiting your prompt response. [[User:Arham Tanveer|Arham Tanveer]] ([[User talk:Arham Tanveer#top|talk]]) 22:22, 26 October 2019 (UTC)}}

Request reason:
dear concern, I do apologize for the recent mistakes that I made I wouldn't have go to any article and make it publish also I open my account on different devices which may be the cause of showing I have multiple account which to be honest I don't yet it is sole coincidence I endes up on that page but now I know I wouldnt have moved that page and also not make edits on that also I would like to clarify that I don't have any connection with that page creator nor the person who is the page about I live in Karachi, Pakistan and I don't have any intentions to violate the policy of wikipedia I recently regained the access to my account I was hype to contribute which is total reason I made these changes, please unblockmy account and I promise I won't make these mistakes again, thanks
Decline reason:
This was no coincidence. Your abuse of multiple accounts is established. Your abuse of our terms of use (WP:COI and WP:PAID and WP:PROMO) is established. Yamla (talk) 10:20, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Yamla, please provide me with evidence to support your reason like Ip addresses, location traking or any computerized way to recheck your assumptions it is cruel to block me because I am from Karachi Pakistan it is not a way to support a community Arham Tanveer (talk) 22:15, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Thank you but you have to understand that many people can use a same IP ADDRESS which doesn't mean all are connected however I do understand all of your points but I personally request as a old member of the community to reconsider the blocking and give me a chance to follow wikipedia policies and help the community with my knowledge and I promise I will make sure I wouldn't make any mistakes in future.
