Speedy deletion of Wolf Bond (novel)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Wolf Bond (novel) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.  Ravenswing  19:17, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Wolf Bond (novel)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Wolf Bond (novel), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Cassim (Aladdin). Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. SparksBoy (Counter Vandalism)(talk) 07:43, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Template:Aladdin has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see this page for instructions. Thank you. Proposed deletion of I Do Not Hook Up (single)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article I Do Not Hook Up (single), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

because there are no reliable sources confirming it as an official single

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

List of Aladdin episodes

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the List of Aladdin episodes article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. - Mgm|(talk) 11:11, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I undid the split you did of List of Hannah Montana main characters as you didn't follow the procedures in WP:SPLIT. It is important for GFDL licensing that histories of articles remain intact. You can create the split out articles using material from the source but don't move the source like you did and make sure that the edit histories point back to the source. --NrDg 01:51, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also note that this article was originally created because of decision made at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jake Ryan (Hannah Montana). --NrDg 03:36, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Already Gone (single) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 20:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Phasir, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Phasir. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your edits that you recently made to this article for a couple reasons. 1) The plots on the character pages do not need to be extended, as the main link to the movie/series articles is there for extensive plots. 2) You put a detailed plot of 1 crossover episode that Aladdin appears in on the Hercules animated series. This is totally unnecessary and tedious. Simply mentioning that he appeared in the one episode is one thing, but an outline of the entire story does not belong in this article.

Also, please start using the edit summary to briefly relate WHAT you are changing. You have neglected to do so for any of these Aladdin edits, and it helps other editors see what is being changed or added. Thank you. Cactusjump (talk) 17:24, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Uncouth

[edit]

The article Uncouth has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Dictionary entry, unencyclopedic

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — The Man in Question (gesprec) · (forðung) 08:19, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Priscilla Renea (musician), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. There are certain rules for submitting an article to WP:FAC:

  • The nominator should be one of the main contributors to the article
  • The article should normally go through WP:GAN procedure first

Those ~conditions are not satisfied. (not to mention technical demands to the article). Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 09:19, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid I must respectfully decline. It has too many categories in top or mid importance to be ignored, and certainly has at least good article status. If you wish to nominate it for good article status first, I will second the motion. Otherwise, we are at an impasse. /\\//\|_()|\| (talk) 09:36, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article The Spy Swatter, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. PDCook (talk) 17:36, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Go Away Stowaway. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 08:33, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to The JaneDear Girls has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. While it's rather late for me to comment on this edit, please refrain from using brief descriptions of characters that only provide a spoiler for the final episodes of a series. (i.e. Ellen) Spoilers are obviously acceptable as part of a detailed body of information, but if the only material provided for a character is a spoiler that occurs late in a work of fiction, it's lazy editing and a disservice to casual readers.
