I created an article about singer Carina Jaarnek today. She died yesterday. If you want to, take a look.--BabbaQ (talk) 12:58, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Editorializing in reception sections

[edit]

Hi. I've noticed that you often work on film reception sections. They frequently need a bit of copy editing and expansion. However, you've added your own editorializing about the reception to several articles. Please don't do this. Unless you cite a reliable source for whether reviews were "negative", "positive", or "mixed", it really doesn't belong in the article. Interpreting review aggregators is original research. We already have Metacritic's analysis of their own cataloged reviews and Rotten Tomatoes' critical summary. We don't really need editorializing from individual Wikipedia editors on top of that. Entertainment Weekly and the Los Angeles Times are good places to look for a source if you want to include an intro statement. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 12:00, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Journey of August King, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nick Wechsler. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Translation help

[edit]

Hi Arbero, such a long time since we have spoken! I have been expanding the article on Jordan Larsson after seeing a report on the television about him and his father at Helsingborgs IF. In the international section, please can you translate the title of the reference in the "trans_title=" field. Thank you '''tAD''' (talk) 13:50, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just another small thing, I have made a template on the Tippeligaen managers, but I have been the only editor on it. I would just like to make you aware of it so there is more than one editor monitoring it, I see you have made templates on other leagues' managers, and you have (I would imagine) a greater exposure to Norwegian football than I '''tAD''' (talk) 21:57, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article 1998 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 22:01, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Positions

[edit]

As you actually have a source for the formation and positions, you pretty much "win the argument". If I were you I would change the positions back immediately. '''tAD''' (talk) 20:07, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was wondering if you would be interested in contributing articles to Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic)? It needs contributors to increase diversity of content from different countries and bring about large scale improvements. The idea at some point will be to host a National Contest related to your country of interest. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:15, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yanko Georgiev's clean sheets

[edit]

Thanks for your recent edits to the 2016–17 Bulgarian FPFL season. I noticed that you have added Yanko Georgiev to the clean sheets section which I believe is factually incorrect. Neftochimic has had only 3 clean sheets so far in the league which can be easily verified. Hovever, Yanko Georgiev was on the bench during the first game with Lokomotiv GO on 29 July 2016 (a 0–0 draw); Stoyan Kolev was the goalkeeper then. Could you please check and revert that part of your commit? Thanks, Yavorescu (talk) 21:21, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:16, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
