Signature
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:39, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
You are still posting messages without signatures. Please do what you've been asked to do. --David Biddulph (talk) 21:29, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
hi thank you; not sure how to do it I am new ; i am learning; would it be ok if at the end of my writing I say ARALDICO69?

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Ercole III d'Este, Duke of Modena, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Greyjoy talk 09:17, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Greyjoy talk 12:44, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Your recent edits to Talk:House of Este#Hoax could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:01, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Unblock appeals need to be made on this page
[edit]You must make them here using the template above. Doug Weller talk 07:06, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
I have just read the rule on wikipedia and saw that it is forbidden "to state that something which is written is defamatory". I do not understand this rule but I accept it and I apologise; I hope my block will end so I can reply in the Hoax thread so there are two versions in the story. regards
Hi Doug no worries; I believe I have resolved the problem with this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Este_Orioles only a person in bad faith with an agenda after this can still write Este Orioles hoax.... Still I believe that administrators should have the power to remove talk section that in light with the page created are clearly defaming. By profession I am an academic and work with the Law I am the least possible person to write hoaxes! Best A Araldico69 (talk) 19:15, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
I've unblocked you
[edit]Do read WP:AGF before you post again, however. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 18:48, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Thank you really appreciate; what can i do with this guy is there a process where I can show that is not telling the true? I do not know if he is genuine and says things that he does not know or is doing maliciously. Is there some third party which can decide? He keeps going with the same thing and He does not read what I upload. He has erased again the section in all three pages. Thanks Doug
- There's WP:RFC or WP:DRN. Sign with 4 tildes, eg ~~~~ Doug Weller talk 09:33, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
thank you ; if insists I will use the DRN as you suggested Araldico69 (talk) 10:50, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- Just saw your email. I get a lot! If you want to claim certain sources are valid (or not), it's WP:RSN. Otherwise the best choices are still those I link to above. Doug Weller talk 15:05, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
Create a page
[edit]Hi Doug,
just a quick question can i create a page ( I will just write a brief paragraphs on the contentious pages so the serial deleter will be happy) and refine it and save it and not publish it untill ready?
Best

Minor edits
[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 18:11, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi thank you so adding or erasing is not minor; what shall i do when I add or erase parts to improve, clarify or make the text more readable?
Also if I find my page has been vandalised what shall I do? I have to say I am very skeptical of wikipedia you still do not erase the sections titled Hoax (talk page) of House of Este and Ercole III even if I showed all the links to prove they are not and I challenge the person to demnstrate that was a hoax ( obviously ths person disappeared as cannot do so) is it fair ( not me as i am anonymous) but to leave the Este Orioles family to be defamed publically without doing anything? It seems to me you are very keen in teaching me the rules of Wikipedia but you do not do anything to address unfair situations

Using talk pages
[edit]Hi Araldico69, when you post to talk pages on Wikipedia, please do not use long lines of equals signs like ============ to separate replies. Equals signs are used to create headings, and the result is a number of empty headings that make the talk page confusing. Please read WP:THREAD to learn about how to format a discussion so that it's clear which post you are replying to. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 13:55, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
Sorry Bonadea I am a newbie i will read the link and i will not do it in the future

[edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to House_of_Este. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 10:29, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hi tx what do you mean? Can u make an example? Tx Araldico69 (talk)
- Howdy! Don't forget to sign your posts with 4 tildes ("~"), and to "factor" talk pages properly: that means using increasing numbers of colons (":") to create order in replies.
- Wikipedia is built on reliable secondary sources. Those include published books, reputable newspapers, some journals, and certain other sources. We use secondary sources (sources that are removed from the events, allowing scholarly or otherwise rigorous evaluation of events) rather than primary sources (which are often biased or lack context and explanation). When a source lacks context, such as a primary source, Wikipedia editors are tempted to add their own context or try to divine meaning from them. That is regrettably original research and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Primary sources can be used sparingly, but I was of the opinion that your use of the court report was not one of those cases. In addition, what you had lacked context and its reason for inclusion wasn't clear, thus its coverage was not WP:DUE. Happy editing! Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 10:58, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello clear thank you! Just to clarify that one is not a Court report (perhaps I did not explain it well; that is a final-unappealable judgement based on experts' analyses -experts in nobiliary laws, forensics etc.. appointed by the Italian Court and Judge) to ascertain the facts. In other words it has legal power in Italy/EU etc.. In genealogy/heraldry it is also important to use primary sources; how can the claim be supported without the primary source namely the letter patent (forensically analysed in a court of Law) of Ercole III? How can I support what I am writing without the proof of an unappealable final Judgement of a State Court? All the documents uploaded have been used in the court process to establish the facts. Maybe I can add this in all the pictures uploaded including the genealogy tree descriptions? Anyway thank you for all the suggestions I will implement the clarification today. Last point, I am not a relative of the D'Este Orioles so I do not have any vested interest; I am just interested in Italian heraldry and historic facts that are not -like they should- known widely; if I have time I will write also about other similar stories of other families and Chivalry Orders which are from Italy. Araldico69 (talk) 11:47, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- PS thank you for explaining how to edit! I find wikipedia very difficult to use and I appreciate who takes time like you to help! Araldico69 (talk) 11:49, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- Although many things have legal power and are un-appealable, we don't necessarily include them or rely primarily on them. For example, US Supreme Court Decisions are final, un-appealable, and have legal power. However we don't generally cite the actual court decision, but rather law reviews (law journals) and news articles that can analyze and aggregate the facts. Ideally, find a news article from a reliable source or a writing in a reputable law journal. Otherwise its not very clear what the court decision is, and any attempts to clarify from only court documents would then represent original research. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 20:42, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Cap; I published anything I could find; the family is part of the History of Tortorici firstly as D’Este and then as D’Este Orioles.. However I will try to look for even more references to improve the page, thank you! Araldico69 (talk) 22:19, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

House of Este Orioles
[edit]While I understand that the claim of Hoax on the page House of Este Orioles may seem outrageous to you, please do not remove the tag until the issues have been dealt with on the talk page. Editors have tagged it as a hoax because extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and the evidence on the page is lacking. If you continue to remove the tag, you may be sanctioned for edit warring, or blocked in general. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 06:36, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
I have reported the case for vandalism; this person is stalking and making me sick; I have uploaded all the necessary proofs; it is unnecessary to tag something as hoax (not true) when it is true but of course you can disagree so use the term dispute. Araldico69 (talk) 06:48, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- If you use the word defamation one more time you will be blocked indefinitely from Wikipedia. And stop duplicating comments in and within article talk pages. El_C 07:35, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
So basically must be bullied and let a very offensive term being used? What tools I have to defend me? I will escalate this to Wikipedia foundation; I am a confident that what I have written is not a Hoax Araldico69 (talk) 07:41, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- El_C 07:47, 5 May 2019 (UTC)You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for legal threats, again. You are free to escalate this with the Wikimedia Foundation, but you will not be doing so as a Wikipedia user.If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
- The page is gonna stay as it is until May 8, the admins have locked the page till then. If the community comes to a consensus by then, and changes the page accordingly, the hoax tag can be removed then. If not, the the tag will stay until the issue is resolved. You clearly believe it to be true, so thus must have some evidence for it. If you can add inline citations to reliable sources, the issue will be fixed. Ideally, you can workshop potential edits on the talk page, adding citations in draft space before implementing them itno the actual article, getting feedback along the way. And please stop making or feigning legal threats, you can and will be blocked for that, which I think we both don't want. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 07:45, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- No, the page will be unprotected momentarily. El_C 07:47, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
I do not see what other proofs I can bring. There are building owned by Este Orioles; there is a letter patent assessed as genuine by a TRIBUNAL; there are books speaking about d este family of tortorici , there’re birth certificates and deaths which show the DUke being direct descendent from Antonino 1 who received letter patent so what other proofs can produce; instead can you produce evidence that this is a hoax? Araldico69 (talk) 07:52, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

El C you prevent me to respond to the hoax accuse, I do not care you blocked me now this thing will go legal Araldico69 (talk) 08:06, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of House of Este Orioles
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on House of Este Orioles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.desteorioles.it/storia/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
