Reversion
[edit]What is the reason behind reverting the changes done? What is wrong with the content?
- @Gokulraj.k:: Sorry for the rather abrupt edit summary. I reverted it because the MOS:LEAD is supposed to be a summary of the most important information on the article's subject. A CEO of a company commenting on the movie because their product was used in it isn't particularly pertinent to the work, and it frankly comes off like an WP:ADVERT. - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 18:26, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
Safety factor = 1
[edit]Here's an article with details on the making of the carbon hull: https://www.compositesworld.com/articles/composite-submersibles-under-pressure-in-deep-deep-waters
However, I read that this hull was scrapped and re-done later by another company. Anyway, there is NO WAY for a pressure safety factor of 2.25 with this little wall thickness of 5 inches (127 mm). DavidGPeters (talk) 21:48, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- @DavidGPeters: Thanks for the read. That said, did you mean to put this on the Talk:Titan (submersible) page? - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 13:00, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
Can you help m3
[edit]How can i create a militant organization page??? Libya345433 (talk) 01:19, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- Take a look at WP:FIRST for a guide on how to write a page and establish what we require for a subject to be suitable for a page (tl;dr is that it has to be WP:NOTABLE and WP:VERIFIABLE) - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 13:15, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
Big Pond, Nova Scotia
[edit]You reverted my edits to the page on Big pond, Nova Scotia and it made me curious, do you even live here? Because I actually do, and I think I know this place better than you. Oewis (talk) 19:22, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
- It's not a matter of anyone knowing somewhere better than anyone else, everything on Wikipedia must be WP:VERIFIABLE with WP:Reliable Sources. You are welcome to add information that meet those criteria, but writing something in an article claiming that it is true based on your own knowledge is WP:Original Research, which is not allowed.
- Additionally, there is a list of things that WP:Wikipedia is not. These items are to ensure that Wikipedia is a high-quality encyclopedia. I hope this answers your question sufficiently. And remember, WP:BEBOLD, it makes for more opportunities to expand the project, even if it gets reverted. WP:BRRD. Thanks for reaching out! - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 20:07, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Framework edits
[edit]The reason there is a space or dot in watt hour is because they are separate units. WP should remove the exception for watt hour (Wh), volt ampere (VA) and ampere hour (Ah); the correct symbols are W h, V A & A h respectively. See SI brochure. 2600:4040:208F:2A00:1DE:359F:875A:243E (talk) 21:29, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- @2600:4040:208F:2A00:1de:359F:875A:243E I appreciate the information; however we don't rely on only 1 source for – well – anything really. We use what is most commonly and reliably sourced. In the article itself, I reviewed about 4 articles; and, in all of the articles I reviewed, they used Wh as the abbreviation. Additionally, when searching for information about battery capacity in watt hours, most (if not all) results return a value in the "Wh" style. I hope this helps explain why it's written the way it is - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 14:36, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Video games in Ukraine
[edit]Why did you cut out all the companies list in the Video games in Ukraine page? Just add a citation requirement marker and don't remove stuff. That's cruel. I researched everything accurately. According to your user page, you're not even an admin, so why should you take action to remove the content? ObiKKa (talk) 16:42, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if anything came off as malicious, I never intend for that. It should be noted that I didn't remove all companies from the list, only the ones that didn't include any citations to their origin and didn't have a Wikipedia article (technically I shouldn't have used the fact that an article exists as proof either). When material is added, the burden is on the editor adding the material to provide citations, and anything that isn't is subject to removal. If I were to add information without providing a citation, you have just as much of an ability to remove it as anyone else. It's nothing to do with your work, and I'm grateful that you have been looking for information to improve the article. If you are able to provide the sources that you used when you were doing your research, the page prior to my removal is still present in the page history, you can revert to that and add the citations.
- As far as admins are concerned, they don't have any extra editing privileges over "regular" users, they only have additional tools to help maintain a productive wiki. Anyone can add and remove information, that's what is unique about a wiki like Wikipedia. You can be bold and that is how you succeed.
- Please let me know if something is unclear and if you want to discuss further. - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 17:04, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- That was a surprisingly detailed response.
- The mobile Wikipedia app perhaps makes it impossible to peek at the full page content in old commits in the history pages. So a desktop browser is the only option to look through old content. But that's an anecdote.
- I need to find a way to backup the lists' content somewhere else outside for others to look at if they're able to.
- ObiKKa (talk) 17:08, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- If it's okay, I can create a subpage under your user with the list's content. It'll stay there until you delete it. - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 17:11, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- No. Don't worry about that bit. It'd take too long time to source all the citations before then.
- ObiKKa ObiKKa (talk) 17:11, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- You don't need citations under your userspace, it's not part of the encyclopedia namespace, so you can take as long as you need to. - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 17:12, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Okay. I can give that a try. Where can I find the subpage under my user's page?
- ObiKKa (talk) 17:19, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- You can create a subpage by navigating to your userpage with any subdirectory User:ObiKKa/SubpageNameHere and then creating the page. Caveat to that is you'll have to remember the name; there isn't a link to it unless you make one. You could also use your Sandbox, which has a link (on desktop anyway, not sure about mobile). - AquilaFasciata (talk | contribs) 17:23, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

- One more thing. I found that I only needed to copy the link in a drop down menu from an old commit in the mobile app, and then paste the link into a web browser. The page's content will fully appear as it was dated to the commit. So I discovered that just now.
