Copyvio

[edit]

Hi, I'm concerned that this essay may be a problem in terms of WP:COPYPASTE. Can you help me to understand what you've done to ensure that it isn't in violation of the guidelines to include it here? JMWt (talk) 19:41, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Generally academic papers & theses have their copyrights retained by their original authors. If @Aquaticonions (as the author) is willing to attest to either a WP-compatible license as noted in WP:MYTEXT, or that the content hasn't been published elsewhere requiring a more restrictive license, assumedly that would be fine. Confirming that this paper hasn't been published elsewhere; it's only ever been submitted to an academic department and an essay competition, neither of which led to any kind of publication. For now I'm happy to put it under a CC BY-SA license, though if at some point it becomes subject to copyright, I'll change that and reconsider whether it ought to be left up on my user page.
