Aquinas College
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Aquinas College, Melbourne. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.
The removal of categories and substantive content needs to be justified or it will be reverted. I understand that you probably have first hand knowledge regarding the College (just judging from your name), but you have to make sure that the rest of Wikipedia understands why you are removing content also.

- You didn't really have to out yourself as the school's network admin... :) It was sort of easy to guess.
- In your future edits, you should be aware of WP:COI. For example, "unauthorised" really has no place on wikipedia as the school has no say in what is written here about it (except in respect to ensuring that content conforms to wikipedia policy (the important ones of which are mentioned above in the welcome spiel). If you and your executive are concerned with content that portrays the school in a negative light then I suggest that you take it to a talk page or talk to the members at WP:EIA or WP:WPSCHOOLS. Stubifying an article because the otherwise good content is not authorised by the subject of the article is probably an expression of a conflict of interest.
- That being said, I'm not sure why you're removing information about the school's campus buildings, facilities and grounds. This is encyclopedic information that genuinely has a place on wikipedia, and there are many other articles which include similar information. I've recently expanded Rose Bay Secondary College, which you'll note has that information, but there are many other school articles with similar information available. If there are genuine content issues in that text, then you're probably able to correct them?
- As always, talk to me if you need help. -danjel (talk to me) 06:31, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- No Mr's in wikipedia articles. You'd do yourself a lot of favours by reading the article guidelines at WP:WPSCH/AG and the Manual of Style.
- Some sort of acknowledgement that you're reading what I'm saying would be awesome as well. -danjel (talk to me) 23:58, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi danjel, I am reading what you are saying. Thank you for the tips. My primary focus at the moment is to remove incorrect information from the Aquinas College Ringwood Wikipedia page. I will familiarise myself with the terms and conditions of using Wikipedia over the coming days. As you are no doubt aware, some fairly defamatory remarks have been added to this page in past, as well as a vast amount of misinformation, none of which was referenced. Thank you for your input, I do read your talk posts and take on board your comments. Aqitsupport (talk) 01:56, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- No worries. I have (almost) every school article watchlisted and act on vandalism whenever I see it. Inaccuracies in content are a little harder, being that my knowledge is limited to NSW schools, and particularly public schools.
- I'll continue to note down, here, anything that I fix in the changes you make. But, yeah, take a look at the article guidelines above. Ask if you need anything. -danjel (talk to me) 02:53, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
