Hello,

I did cite a source for my edit which has been removed along with everything I wrote. It was citation 9 at the bottom of the page. Can you please provide me with examples in my original edit that were the reasons for its removal? I can't seem to find the edit in the page history. Apetko3 (talk) 06:16, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

I was also in the middle of inserting another source when you removed my contribution. At least allow a few minutes before you take down a contribution and consider editing it instead of simply deleting it, and if you do delete my contribution, I would request that you copy paste it as a quote in your message to me on the talk page. Hi Apetko3 I restored your edit but used a pmid refname which was needed to complete your unreferenced section. There is a useful tool in which you can just put the pmid number in and it will complete the citation parameters for you. Regards CV9933 (talk) 11:03, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

LEEP article

Hi Apetko3 (and Mhrichards), I'm the Wikipedian-in-residence at the National Institute for Health and Care Research in England. I was editing the LEEP article and removed some of the text but realised later that they were done as part of your university course. So I thought I would contact you here to clarify why I removed the text and to tell you that this shouldn't put you off from Wikipedia editing (though I'm not sure if what I removed was your edit). I removed parts of the Complications section because the information was based on primary studies but Wikipedia prefers the use of secondary research as sources. Also, there were newer systematic reviews than the ones in the text so I updated that part. I also aimed to simplify the language as most readers won't know what is a systematic review or a meta-analysis and they don't have to so it's not necessary to describe the type of study (unless in special cases when you have to use primary research). The guide I linked has a good example on how to word medical info based on secondary research. Anyway, I hope this might help you and really don't be put off from updating this article, it's very important work.
