Talk:Reactions to the death of Osama bin Laden
[edit]We can discuss here if you'd prefer, but let's please not edit war.

Which edit do you wish to discuss?

- The Terrorist Organizations section. There is some discussion at the Talk Page. Essentially, Islamic Groups and Terrorist Organizations were under Islamic Groups. The concern was that many of the organizations aren't necessarily representative of Islam, and thus to define them by Islamist. Since that would also be subjective, and a distinction many might not understand, I separated them by their designation as Terrorist Organizations.

I understand that. It's just that I feel it more suitable to label that section "Militant groups/organizations" since I don't know if I would classify groups like Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Which is why I prefer the title Militant groups instead of terrorist since they all have that characteristic in common with each other.
- That would be WP:ORIGINAL. They are cited by a WP:RELIABLE as being officially Terrorist Organizations, per The US Government.

- Heh, I have about 5 tabs open keeping track of this conversation. Can we keep it at the Talk Page?

Good Editing Policy
[edit]Just a quick word on good editing policy. When something has been added, it was typically for a reason. When you make edits to an area, to remove content, you generally want to explain why you removed it. Reviewing the History and the Talk pages, can also be very helpful. That way, when there is a dispute over content, you can understand why the other person is doing what they're doing, and come to the best answer possible for Wikipedia. This obviously isn't needed when it is minor edits, and certainly not meant as an attack, since your edits are very productive. Just try to be a bit more communicative. :-) Homo Logica (talk) 01:08, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
