- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Thank you @user:S0091, I have a question here, my account is new but I have experience with pages' creation and regulations to abide with...I submitted 10 of the draft I created to AFC, and they seem to be just fine (all 9, one was moved to main space by a reviewer). Will I do the right thing If I move all of them to main space? ANUwrites 16:04, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

I WAS READING AFC GUIDELINES TODAY AND I FOUND THIS,
Established users in good standing, however, are encouraged to not clutter up the AfC queue with pages that do not need support or guidance from AfC reviewers. If you are not required to use the AfC process but still need time to work on a new article before it's ready for mainspace, please do not submit it for review

Speedy deletion nomination of Nahida Esmail
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Nahida Esmail requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.burtaward.org/nahida-esmail and https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/42260615-living-in-the-shade. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Afyaniuhai, I'm reaching out to you after seeing the Teahouse post you made about the changes I made in your articles. I actually meant to reach out to you earlier to explain my edits, but I got sidetracked and forgot and only remembered when I seen the message you left. I'm really sorry for making those changes in your articles. I thought I was following manual of style, as WP:LAYOUT does put the infobox before the introduction. Did you take a look at the policy I left in the edit summaries? The infobox is listed in "Before the article content" and the introduction is under "Article content". Anyways, I'll leave the infoboxes where they are from now on, but I do want to comment on your Teahouse post where you mentioned something about feeling really bad to burden me for making the edits. You should never feel bad for me or anyone else that makes cleanup edits in your articles, it's really no bother to help. If it was a burden, I wouldn't still be here after almost 15 years. Again, sorry for any problems I caused you. Cmr08 (talk) 04:33, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Cmr08, Thank you for the hardwork you make to improve Wikipedia. You don't have to apologize because you're a wonderful editor. I haven't learned on how to give barnstarts, I should have given you one. Apart from you helping to rearrange the articles I started, I learned a thing or two. First, I never knew of something called WP:LAYOUT to have ever existed but now I know and I'm trying to improve myself on it, it's fun (hope I may get a third c-class on my next articles, or even a b-class). Secondly, I now know the good way to reference is to let a full stop come first before the ref. I was referencing anyhow before you taught me that, Thank you, I'll be reaching out to get aid if I ever fail arranging my articles or if I get to see any arrangement I don't understand, hope you will agree on being my mentor for the time being. Want to thank you for all your great work on WP:BLP articles recently! BLP are the hardest articles, and Tanzania much more so. Difficult to find sources, and moderators default to delete of TZ BLPs. You have created great articles, with many sources, and added many articles much needed to add. I wanted to reach out and say if you ever need a hand or help in future please feel free to reach out to my talk page and ask. I quit making BLP when someone tried to delete the page Marioo I had created. It was a very frustrating experience to me so I do not make them anymore. I greatly appreciate your patients and good work as they are needed.
- Quick note about the "Mr" from editor above, there is not gender in that use of "Mr". They intended same as "Mzee" that is for both men and women. It only a greeting meant to show you respect, not say you are man. Bantu does not have genders as English so translations create a gender and say "Mr". Better would be to say elder, or something else, but that is not how English, or translators, work. If working with Tanzanians you maybe called both genders many times each in same conversation, or even same sentence. It is not intended as disrespectful, only how the translation added it to make english work.
- Again, thank you for all the great BLP work. You are contributing very important work! Amani kwako! BevoLJ (talk) 19:13, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Ahsante BevoLJ, that's so kind. Hope we can expand Tanzania/Swahili-related articles to the higher clouds. I promise to reach out to you if I'll ever need any assistance.
- About 'Mr' matter, I think I just overreacted, I'm aware of that now. ANUwrites 08:42, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Rejection of Sim4Life draft
This draft for an article on Sim4Life is for wiki-linking to list of computer simulation software. The description of Sim4Life does not sound more "like an advertisement" than other entries in the list. I am removing the YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcUABglbxr0&ab_channel=ZurichMedTechAG) because it is not independent, although it is a good introduction to the platform. References 1 and 2 are to the pages at the independent Swiss government funding agency about 2 separate projects that were that competitively funded to support development of the software. Many of the other Sim4Life citations are to independent research papers -- not written by scientists at ZMT -- in which the software was integral to the obtaining the research results being reported, not just "trivial mentions" as a tool. I am also reviewing all citations and seeking ones that might be more acceptable. Guidance is welcome. Please check some of the other entries in the list of computer simulation software and reconsider acceptance. PLBounds (talk) 13:29, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @PLBounds This is the improvement we want, you have done great reducing unreliable/independent to the subject citations and fixed whatever went wrong on the tone of the article, Since you resubmitted it for reviews to decide, I'll leave it for thier view ANUwrites 07:11, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- You still need to adress this...
- Sim4Life V8.0 is also available as Sim4Life.web – which is integrated with the desktop version – is implemented in the cloud and can be used without installation.
- You still need to adress this...
S4Llite, a web version of Sim4Life that is free-of-charge for students, was released in February 2023 to facilitate team-learning and online collaboration on limited size projects with classmates and teachers. S4Llite is powered by o²S²PARC[11], which was developed as part of the 'Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions' (SPARC)[12] program of the National Institutes of Health Common Fund.....
- Remember, more than one reviewer tagged the article as an advertisement. You need to resolve this WP:COI issue within the article. ANUwrites 08:42, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks very much! I have edited the problematic sentence and done a bit more trimming, and added the COI statement on the talk page. I had already added the paid contribution disclaimer, which I thought was sufficient.
- Question: is there a way to move the COI and paid contribution statements to the top of the talk page? (I will try to find the answer in the meantime...) Never mind, found it...

Draft for Agnes von der Vierbecke
Have added more sources from German newspapers, and re-written the narrative in a simpler style. I don't know how accurate the Dortmunders' version of her story is, and in fact, the more I look this over, the more I'm thinking this person may well have been an innocent scapegoat. In any event, the article is now a bit more balanced. Do you think it is ready to go? (And yes, I do speak German, so I know what those sources say.) Oliveleaf4 (talk) 03:53, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Oliveleaf4, I had some time to pass through the references added and they were all covering Pfefferpotthast (pepper and festival) and only slight mentions of Agnes von der Vierbecke in those articles which are supposed to only source their connection to the subject but not the entire biography. Could you add some more references that are independent to Agness von der Vierbecke?. ANUwrites 05:15, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi ANU, I'm not sure I'll find sources that would satisfy these requirements before the time limit expires. The archival sources don't appear to be digitized, and I don't have time to travel to Dortmund. So I'll let it sit until the review period expires in the hope that something turns up. Oliveleaf4 (talk) 02:13, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- Also, I don't understand what you mean by "independent."Oliveleaf4 (talk) 02:14, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- This is what wikipedia means by "Independent", you may find important hints over there. ANUwrites 04:51, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

I'll do some research and see where I could help too. Happy editing. ANUwrites 04:48, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Academic bios
Hello friend. Regarding this AFC decline comment, As the article is a biography of the living person, we expect seeing references that are independent to the subject.
Just be aware that the independent reference rules are relaxed for professors. Lots of professor articles survive AFD that are mostly cited to the professor's own papers.
With an h-index of 4, they do not pass WP:NPROF#C1 in this particular case, but speaking more generally.
Hope this helps. Happy editing. –Novem Linguae (talk) 12:58, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- This is so helpful at times like this with few academics' drafts passing through my hands. I might have done more harm with an obsession with Biographies of living persons. I'll take time some at AFD learning on this issue, thank you. ANUwrites 19:06, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
