Dear Anupa, Firstly, Social Security is a better topic, so continue working on it. NOTE - DEADLINE FOR FIRST 500 WORDS ON NEW TOPIC NOT MISSED. Secondly, the way I'd like you to write is to write in your own words. Since, you are already writing from a book instead of cut-copy-paste from another website, I like that. But write in your own words & then reference the book that you're using as your source, since its not your original research. Add 500 words this way for next deadline of 9th September. Secondly, don't write any of the material you've added, esp. the bit about myths. Write substantial material. Why don't you write about the social security systems in various countries - perhaps start with India? -Shirin--Shirin tejani (talk) 10:45, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Social Security" topic ok. YOU HAVE MISSED TWO DEADLINES - TOPIC SELECTION & FIRST 500 WORDS. -Shirin--Shirin tejani (talk) 12:56, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most of "Pareto Efficiency" is also done. Please select intelligently. Don't be lazy. YOU HAVE ALREADY MISSED 2 DEADLINES - FOR THE TOPIC SELECTION & THE FIRST 500 WORDS. - Shirin --Shirin tejani (talk) 15:39, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the work on the article ([[1]]) has already been done & there is not much for you to contribute here. Please select another article. - Shirin (09 August 2011)

Your addition to Social security has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Please note that I have once again removed part of your contribution from Social security, because it appears to be cut and pasted, with no attribution, from http://labour.nic.in/ss/overview.html. Hairhorn (talk) 19:05, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the third time I have removed text from this entry, again apparently copied from Macroeconomics by Boyes and Melvin. Hairhorn (talk) 18:12, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted, as you did at multiple articles. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 18:47, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that you're a student in a Wikipedia-oriented course and that you're still learning the ropes, and I do not intend this to be an infinite-time block, but you must stop inserting copyrighted material into articles, and since a warning did not stop you from that, I've had to block you. You will not be unblocked until you can explain, on this talk page and in your own words, our copyright policy, how you have violated it, and how you can prove to us that you will not continue violating it if your editing rights are restored. Apology letter

Hi, I am Anupa Chakraborty, I have been blocked from editing my article on Social Security due to copyright violation. I am extremely sorry for copying from other sources without verifying permission. I am extremely ashamed of my deed and i assure that i would not do the same any longer. I am now aware of the fact that no copyright material would ever be accepted and i promise that whatever i write would now be in my own words only. I am really very sorry for copying materials and i assure that i won't do it anymore.

Thanks

Anupa Chakraborty

Hi! Thank you for your apology. Please ask your ambassador to comment either here or on my talk page confirming that they've given you an explanation of our copyright policies, and then I will unblock you. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 13:00, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I have come to know about the seriousness of the copyright violation and have been properly trained by our campus ambassadors. They have given all the possible explanations of the copyright policies. And I have understood the policies properly and i will try to use my intellect and my own words from the next time instead of copying. So i request you to please unblock me.

Thank You.

Anupa Chakraborty.

As I said, I need to hear from your ambassador that they believe you now understand our copyright policy. I'm sure they will be happy to assure me of that, so please ask one of them to comment here or on my talk page telling me that they believe you understand now. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! Hey, User:Fluffernutter a_r_n here, I met Anupa Chakraborty today, and told her about what she should be avoiding and how not to simply copy paste stuff on WP. I think she is pretty clear with what exactly Wikipedia:Plagiarism is now, so please unblock her and if she goes on violating copyrights again, please do block her back. Unblocked

[edit]

I have unblocked you, following your ambassador's assurance that you now understand our copyright policy. Please remember that as a general rule, you should never copy-and-paste (or re-type) someone else's writing into Wikipedia. If you are at any point not sure if what you want to add to an article would be a copyright violation, check with your ambassador before you add it, because you will be reblocked if you resume violating copyrights. Good luck with the rest of your class! A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 16:02, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]
You recently made a submission to Articles for Creation. Your article has been reviewed and because some issues were found, it could not be accepted in its current form; it is now located at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Industrial Securities Market. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. Feel free to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved. (You can do this by adding the text {{subst:AFC submission/submit}} to the top of the article.) Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Industrial Securities Market requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sorry about the formality of the above message, but I tend to leave it because it gives you information on how to proceed. I had a look at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Industrial Securities Market, and you seem to be trying to change the wording so as not to include copyright. Unfortunately, while you are heading in the right direction, and this is great, the wording is still a bit too close to be accepted.. For example, you wrote:
"Since 1793, the trading in securities has been vogue in India. The Bombay Stock Exchange was established in the year 1857 and an interesting fact is that, the BSE membership fee during that period was just Rupee one and then went on increasing until it reached Rs. 2 crores in 1997."
The source for that material was, I'm afraid, very similar:
"The trading in securities has been in vogue in India since 1973. The BSE was established in 1857. It is interesting to note that the BSE membership fee in 1857 was just Re one; ..."
You are clearly making the right steps to move away from the source, and this is great, but as a general rule if you use the same words - even in a slightly different order, or with some subtle changes - it is still regarded as being a bit too close. You'll need to effectively rewrite the material in your own words, relying on sources as a guide to what points to raise rather than how to raise them - it is tricky, but unfortunately needed. - Bilby (talk) 00:21, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
