TfD nomination of Template:Nostub-expand

[edit]

Template:Nostub-expand has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Grutness...wha? 23:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

unless there is an article proving me wrong, there is no evidence expand cannot be used on a no-stub template, therefore, it should not be deleted. Antome | talk 03:12, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some issues to think about when using {{Nostub-expand}}
  • It does not add the article to any maintenance category greatly limiting its usefulness.
  • You might what to consider adding {{Expand}} to the top of the article which then adds the article into Category:Articles to be expanded, you could still leave {{Nostub-expand}} at the bottom of the article.
  • {{Nostub-expand}} is currently under review for deletion and the outcome of that review may make the use of the template meaningless

if only peopl bothered to read st.josephs discussion...how sad...and how difficult...Antome | talk 18:57, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Stjf.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stjf.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dbiel (Talk) 17:46, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

okay Antome | talk 19:21, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for filling out the fair use statement. We unfortunately still have a few problems to resolve. The image source and the portion used do not agree with each other. My guess is that the link is valid but the portion used is not. My guess is that someone cropped the logo (badge) out of the mast head, edited it just slightly to get rid of the overlapping image, and then uploaded the edited file. There is nothing wrong in doing this, it just needs to be identifed as such including who did the editing work. Dbiel (Talk) 05:35, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i did the editing work o.0 Antome | talk 03:13, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for updating the needed info. I edited it slightly as the link should not be piped. Thanks again for providing the required information. Dbiel (Talk) 01:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
