[edit]Hello, I'm Egghead06. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Gavin Holligan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Egghead06 (talk) 07:00, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!
I've noticed you correcting dates of birth in several instances recently; which is a good thing. Changes to DoB can often be flagged up as BLP issues. It would be useful if you could use the edit summary to indicate how you obtained the information. E.g. something like "correction to DoB per Soccerbase" (or wherever the info. was obtained from). The ES is important as it forms part of the page history and tells reviewing ediotrs what has been changed and why. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 16:27, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Peter Kioso article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 17:56, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
