picked up your note on my talk page thanks.
I dont fully agree with the edit removal on Phibsboro which seems based solely on opinion that it's irrelevant. my view is it's relevant as the spelling of phibsboro could be ough ending thus my point. That's why I included it in the first place. I have proposed some discussion and a concensus achieved on the article's discussion page.

Progressive Democrats
[edit]Hi, you undid my little piece on the PDs. I edited it slightly so as to be more subjective. If you wish to edit something like this again please let me know beforehand. Thank you.
History of Shelvock Manor
[edit]Thanks for the note on my talk page. I'm certainly not against removing the cleanup tag, though I do believe that more could be done to make it better. It is still very complicated and includes a lot of excess information. Plus, it is just plain LONG. Some of that is unavoidable, I suppose. Theoretically, an encyclopedia article on a place like this should include only a relatively short summary of the information there, but I know that Wikipedia is not paper, so maybe that doesn't fully apply here. Do what you think is best with my suggestions, but by your recommendation I'll go ahead and remove the cleanup tag, and thanks for the acknowledgement. --Cromwellt | Talk 21:45, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Thanks for the compliments, they're usually thin on the ground here.
As goes 'another' Irish editor - theres over 60 of us! Wikipedia:Irish Wikipedians' notice board might be a good place to look at. --Kiand 17:28, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
Just to let you know, an article you've voted for has became this week's UKCOTW - Hungerford massacre. Come and help out! Cheers -- Joolz 21:48, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

Uk-roi tv net infobox
[edit]Hey i see that you have been using the template that i have been working on. I hope that you havnt had any major problems, with getting to work with the articles you addes to. I plan on making some changes to the box in the near future, it should help with them working on the articles that you have added to allready. Other will just be design related, but the overall formatt will remain the same. Feel free to drop me a line to discuss anything about the box the crosses your mind. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 07:01, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- The template is very useful for New Zealand sations, as they follow a similar Pattern to Ireland and the UK. Only thing would be to add nz to the title. Great work. ant_ie 18:21, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well when i came up with it, i have only planned to use it on the UK and IRL stations, hence the mae, but most of the uk stations use a different box, which is really complex, and difficult to use imo, so before you started using it in NZ it was just used for the IRL Stations. I was considering a rename anyway, and i might just drop the country designators in the name all together. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 07:47, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hey i know that i discussed this with you a while ago, but i finally got around to doing it. I bsically redid the infobox, it still is the same in what the information is being presented, but i did some tweeking, and hopefully imrpoved that way that it reads and the way that it operates. Also the ibx has been renamed to {{Tv net infobox}}. As it currently stands it should work with any network across the globe. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 05:14, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
The licence fee guy
[edit]Thanks for the revert there, felt it'd be a bit hypocritical to report someone for 3RR then revert them a fourth time ;) --Kiand 20:16, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Bosco.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bosco.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Viewing figures
[edit]Hi. The overnight viewing figures came from the Outpost Gallifrey forum, and will have been sourced from viewingfigures.com (a subscription site) or the BBC itself. I'll add a link to the Outpost Gallifrey news page once the info is on there. —Whouk (talk) 10:01, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi ant - thanks for deleting that advertising link on Tallaght - I have a better idea of what should and shouldn't be externally linked now. And spam is my pet hate! :) Jhonan talk 23:20, 18 May 2006 (UTC

Bubble Hits - references
[edit]I.... don't know. They aren't appearing twice now, but you're right, they were appearing multiple times last night. Thanks. --Kiand 18:51, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Closing afds
[edit]Please don't close afd discussions you've taken part in. It hurts more than helps in every case. Thanks. - Bobet 13:40, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Progressive Democrats leadership election, 2006

Angela Lansbury
[edit]Everybody seems to assume newer photos are inherently better, which mystifies me. It seems to me that all else being equal, the ideal photo would be from the height of the subject's popularity; in Lansbury's case, around 1985. So the 1989 photo would be superior on those grounds. Anyway, this is all moot, as fair use images should only be used when freely-licensed photos cannot be found. —Chowbok 13:49, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Image:Lord Merlyn-Rees.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Lord Merlyn-Rees.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 03:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Marshall cavendish logo.gif
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Marshall cavendish logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
