Speedy deletion of "Huguenot Yacht Club"
[edit]A page you created, Huguenot Yacht Club, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
Thank you. Synchronism (talk) 07:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
So sorry
[edit]To be quick: the article needs some second party references to help establish notability and veriability; go ahead and create it but be mindful that an article lacking references is more likely to be considered for deletion, and will often be tagged for lacking references if not deletion. The yacht club seems notable both for its age and accomplishments.
It's final exam week so other than some minor anti-vandal catharsis I haven't been around too much—but give me a couple of hours to respond fully. Synchronism (talk) 21:21, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again, take a look at some of the articles in w:Category:Yacht clubs in the United States to get a good idea. As I said before it looks decent. Is there any more information on the earlier activity of the club? How about including more information on winning competitors the club has sponsored? Again I am sorry for the delay.Synchronism (talk) 03:32, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
