Signing comments

[edit]

Please stop removing your signatures on comments and SIGN THEM You have been warned repeatedly to do this but continue to fail at it AlexBobCharles (talk) 10:26, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How am I removing them? Is it by removing the highlight? Anonymy365248 (talk) 10:28, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes why would you remove links to your userpage AlexBobCharles (talk) 10:29, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have a habit of removing links from words that are highlighted in red. So that's the same thing I did with my signature ever since I deleted my user page by speedy deletion. But I swear, I still kept my signature in the comments. Anonymy365248 (talk) 10:44, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop removing red links. They have purpose in Wikipedia. - Altenmann >talk 20:33, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then I would like to clarify what are the purposes of these red links. Anonymy365248 (talk) 02:47, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please stop messing with wikilinks, since obviously you dont understand how they work in Wikipedia. - Altenmann >talk 20:29, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree
Most of this users recent contributions are messing with links and most of them have been reverted.
They seem to not care about previous warnings (seen above)
As you have way more WP experience than me , what would be an appropriate way to deal with this? AlexBobCharles (talk) 22:27, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reporting to WP:ANI next time the user does the same something else disruptive, and they will be sanctioned. - Altenmann >talk 23:20, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not edit comments of other people as you did in Talk:Galindian language or Talk:Cyrillic O variants. - Altenmann >talk 20:36, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't edit the ones from the talk page about the Galindian language. That's just my signature. Anonymy365248 (talk) 02:46, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You added two spaces to another users comment in this AlexBobCharles (talk) 12:21, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. Anonymy365248 (talk) 16:38, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I saw my signature as "User:Anonymy365248" on the reply I made in the Talk:Galindian language. Should it be just simply "Anonymy365248"? Because what I just saw is almost as disruptive. Anonymy365248 (talk) 03:56, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dont you use ~~~~ for signing? AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:21, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't use tildes for signing. Anonymy365248 (talk) 06:38, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is what youre supposed to do .Read WP:~ AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:42, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove interlanguage links. - Altenmann >talk 20:39, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the late reply, but I would like to clarify what are the purposes of the interlanguage links? Because I notice some words highlighted in blue already acted as interlanguage links. Anonymy365248 (talk) 03:43, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not understand what you mean , but just dont remove the interlanguage links. AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:13, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just want to clarify their purposes. Because what I did before you told me to stop isn't an act of removing them, I just transferred them to a red link. So in a way, they're still there, but in a highlighted word that used to be a red link. Anonymy365248 (talk) 06:36, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
if a foreign person is reading an English WP article they will use the ILL (interlanguage link) . Many people outside of the Anglosphere read English WP and use this feature. (also you removed and then put something else in place of it, please do not play with words) AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:41, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When you said that I removed and then put something else in place of it, that's what I meant when I said I just transferred them to a red link. Anonymy365248 (talk) 07:02, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Closed Discussions

[edit]

I would like to clarify how long will we keep these closed discussions and when will we delete them, because they've been in several talk pages for so long. So, I'm not sure if those closed discussions will remain or they'll be deleted in a certain time. Because I felt like it looks weird for it to be kept. WP:ARCHIVENOTDELETE AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:24, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also archive them only if the article talk page is too long and unwieldy which i suspect it is not. Instructions at WP:AATP or simpler version Help:Archiving (plain and simple) AlexBobCharles (talk) 06:32, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
