Review
Hi,
can i know how you are marking pages as reviewed, without being reviewer? XXN (talk) 14:05, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Reviewing pages through new pages patrol is different from reviewing changes to pages under pending changes protection. The former requires only autoconfirmation while the latter requires the reviewer right. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 18:55, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. XXN (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Noah Ryan' Scott
Why did you delete my references? How do I get them back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cascott1970 (talk • contribs) 01:54, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- I deleted them because they were in the middle of the ... code, which messed up the message.
- The references are still there in the code:
== References == <references>    </references>
- To use them, place the code

(note the slash) after a statement that the reference supports:
He was said to be this and that.
- I hope this helps. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 19:55, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Circular Reference
You taged a circular reference in this edit. While I understand why it looks like one, I want to explain that it is not the case. The info is from the film itself, not from the Wikipedia article about the film. However, I do not know how to correctly cite a film as reference, so I would be glad if you could provide some assistance correctly citing the film. Gial Ackbar (talk) 09:10, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I thought maybe that was the case. See cite AV media. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 18:29, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi Anon126, thank you for your response regarding my article creation issues! I took your suggestion and re-wrote the text. Much appreciated! -Andrew Gray — Preceding unsigned comment added by OnlyUntaken WikiName (talk • contribs) 23:08, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for your help thus far however I don't seem to be getting anywhere with this article. Is there any way to have someone here write this article for me? I don't understand how to do this. I can't get the references to appear in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cascott1970 (talk • contribs) 13:24, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- I put some references into the actual article as an example. I'll try to explain the inner workings of this a bit more slowly.
- What you have in the references section looks like this:
== References == <references>   ... </references>
- The code above creates the references. What goes inside

provides the source information. In this case, that is information about the web page where you got the information.
- The
code is important. It makes a short name that you can use to refer to the specific source.name="..."
- To use the references in the article, you need another bit of code. This is the first reference I added:
Noah Ryan Scott (born August 26, 2000) is a Canadian Teen Actor best known for his role as Jakey Thomson in Booky and the Secret Santa(2007) and Booky's Crush(2009).
- Here, I've placed a reference to the source with the name
, that is, the cast page for Booky and the Secret Santa. This code looks about the same as the code in the main list of references, but it is different in where the slash is placed."booky1"
- This gives you:
- The little number that looks like[1] is the reference. If you click it, it will go to the reference section with the full information:
- Only the sources you actually use in the article will show up. To make all the sources show up, you have to add a
bit for each source name.
- I hope this helps. If you're still stuck, please respond below. If you're interested in someone else writing the article for you, you can go to requested articles (but that may take even longer). Anon126 (talk - contribs) 20:54, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
I think I got it! thank you so much for your help! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cascott1970 (talk • contribs) 02:55, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
AFC Major German Emory
Dear Anon126, Just wondering how this review is coming. Seems to be taking a really long time. Thanks so much for your help. RufusL1948 03:08, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- I assume you are referring to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Major German Horton Hunt Emory, Esq. (1882-1918). As the notice at the top indicates, "This may take several weeks, to over a month. The Articles for creation process is severely backlogged. [emphasis in original]". Unfortunately, this means you may have to wait quite a long time.
- You should continue to improve the article by adding citations for the quotations. (Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations requires them for direct quotations.) Anon126 (talk - contribs) 03:36, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Elsa Cladera Encinas de Bravo
Hi, Yes move the page, please, "Elsa Cladera Encinas de Bravo" to "Elsa Cladera de Bravo", but let me know where you have moved it. Nadezhda Bravo Cladera (talk) 19:10, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- Moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Elsa Cladera de Bravo. The old title still works, but the new title will help when it is accepted. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 20:08, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
Declined: While I appreciate the gesture, barnstars are generally awarded for only for exceptionally hard work, and I don't believe the work described fits this description. Other gestures of appreciation may be found at the WikiLove page or in the WikiLove gadget (the heart on a user page). Original award given by Mamad15 (talk · contribs). Sections of my article
1) How many sections can be there in my article?Do I have to create them or will wikipedia create them after checking it?
2) My article contains some topics which wikipedia has. E.G. DNA2,dating sim etc.
How can I link the dna2 wiki page in my artcle?
3) Where can I post the external links of my article (official website, facebook page etc.)?
4) What exactly is the section "Reception" for? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 05:34, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- I've left a message on your talk page with two links to general help. I highly recommend that you read those first, because they will answer these questions and give you a solid base for writing a good article. #4 is the not-so-general question; answer: Reception is for how others have perceived it: reviews, sales figures, and so on. My username
how can i change my username?
I received a message about my artcle, but i cant talk to the user who sent me the message. There is no option in his talk page.why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 03:28, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- You can change your username by going to this page.
- Before you talk with the reviewer, please read the decline reason carefully and visit the links for information. But if you still have questions, look at the bottom of the message on your talk page that says your article was declined. You will see the name of the reviewer and a link that says "(talk)". That link will lead you to the reviewer's talk page.
- I will also leave some comments on your article. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 05:09, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Duplicate article
Actually I created the article SimGirls on my home page, but then I didnt know how to submit it. So,I followed your link and pasted the article over there.I am updating the article in this page
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/SimGirls
So,I request you if you can give me the link of my duplicate article,so that I can remove it.
I am also facing problems regarding the username change. The link which you have given me is a page with too much information. I expect short replies instead of links
I want to know is my username ok? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 05:57, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Your duplicate is at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/SimGirls (2). Regular users cannot delete articles, but as I said, you can replace its contents with
db-author
to request it.
- The main page to request a username change is simple username change (if the new name you want is not already taken), which is shorter. However, the first step on that page is to read the main username change page (which I linked you to earlier).
- Your current username seems to be the name of a company, which is discouraged. I am not sure what your new username would be. (Leave it here and I can answer you directly instead of linking you to the username policy.)
Username and duplicate article
Thanks for the help.I have submitted my username. Also,I have deleted the duplicate article. I have another question. My article is at here:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/SimGirls
How can I access this page directly from my profile? I cant see any links there,so I have boomarked this link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 06:35, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Project Page
I am extremely sorry for forgetting one more question. My project page is in red colour and it is blank. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 06:37, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Additional information needed What project page?
- Also, I recommend that you change your username change request. The name Ray is already taken. Check for an available name by searching existing users at Special:ListUsers. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 06:42, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Project page
this is the project page that appears in my article creation page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackspears (talk • contribs) 06:49, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Your article is at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/SimGirls. You forgot the "talk" part. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 07:01, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- My apologies; I believe I misunderstood your question. Yes, that is normal. For reasons of which I'm not entirely sure, article drafts are in Wikipedia talk rather than Wikipedia. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 07:06, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
