This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Glassman events, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://glassmanevents.com.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 11:58, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your recent article because:
- The article was a copyright violation, as identified by the bot above. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly that the text is in the public domain. The web page is copyrighted by © Quartz Business Media Ltd. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
- It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims include: industry leading... Serving the industry... new and exciting markets... leading events... excellent opportunity — that's just in the first two paragraphs, there is much more in a similar vein promoting the magazine, directory and publisher.
- It did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
I hope this is helpful Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:24, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Understood! Thanks Jim - I'll try again :)
Speedy deletion nomination of Glass manufacturing exhibition
[edit]A tag has been placed on Glass manufacturing exhibition, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cool from PAKISTAN Let's talk about it! 14:08, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Comments
[edit]I've seen your new effort, and tweaked it a bit. You've learned quickly, but there are still some issues.
- Your refs to the Sheraton and Fira are pointless since they only confirm that the hotels exist, not that the conferences were held there
- It's OK to use the Glassman website as a factual reference, for example to verify the past events
- But ideally you should also use independent sources like this, especially as I don't think you have established notability yet
- Your refs will be more intelligible if, instead of a bare url, you put [url description] (effectively what I've done in the line above, although "like this" isn't really a description).
