Thank you for uploading this image. Per Wikipedia policy and US Copyright law, you must be able to demonstrate on the image page that the copyright holder does indeed release all rights. Otherwise, the image will be tagged for deletion. Thanks again. :) RadioKirk talk to me 20:57, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Image:Candid.jpg tagged for deletion
[edit]Image:Candid.jpg has been tagged for deletion as it fails to demonstrate on the image page that the copyright holder does indeed release all rights. If you wish to contest this listing, please include the proper licensing information as quickly as possible or the file will be deleted per policy. Thanks. RadioKirk talk to me 20:20, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- You must provide proof from the person who took the picture that they have released it for use, whether that proof comes in the form of an e-mail, a notice from the website owner, or whatever the case may be. Otherwise, Wikipedia has no way to know if it's a copyright violation and, if there's any doubt, potential violations are deleted. RadioKirk talk to me 20:45, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Image tagged again
[edit]From the image page:
Copyvio: the website http://www.dakota-fanning.org/ includes on its main page: "Copyright © 2002-2006 Lovely Dakota. This site can't be reproduced in any form without the permission of the webmaster." Nowhere in the image galleries or images' individual pages is this right released. RadioKirk talk to me 20:31, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
If there is no proof from the owner of the image that (s)he has released those rights, then Fair Use must be asserted. Film posters and movie screenshots qualify as Fair Use under Wikipedia guidelines and US law if they illustrate the subject's work or the accompanyine text; candid images do not. Sorry, but without proof of release of ownership, this image must be deleted as a violation of copyright. RadioKirk talk to me 20:37, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Mallory Jameson does not seem to exist at IMDB. Nor is she listed among guest stars on Zack and Cody, except in the Wikipedia article that you edited yourself. Wikipedia articles require verifiability. Can you provide any verification? Fan1967 22:49, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi!
[edit]We seem to share the same interests. KinseyLOL 18:01, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
This image has been deleted as a copyright violation which, per US law and Wikipedia policy, is taken very seriously. Given that the image continues to be restored by anomymous users, its presence also has exhausted the patience of the community. Without proof that this image is free to use or qualifies for fair use, any further uploads will be deleted on sight and the user will be blocked from editing. RadioKirk talk to me 19:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Netspeak.
[edit]A constructive comment (please don't think it's a personal attack): You probably want to stop using netspeak (example: "2"="to/two/too", "1"="one/won", "u"="you", etc) on Wikipedia. Just a suggestion. Many Internet users frown on the use of netspeak.
Also, I've aligned the userboxes on your userpage so that they look a bit better. You had the formatting almost right but there were way too many line spaces and column breaks ("|-"). Cheers. — Nathan (talk) 00:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]Hi Annette!
I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!
It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!
Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!
Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Looking for help
[edit]Hello: My name is Ivan Robaina Bychko I am 18 years old and I am a Cuban wikipedian who works at the Spanish Wikipedia. Due my limited access to Wikipedia and Internet I would like to establish an e-mail communication with you in order to get from you some information about the every day life of the average British citizen and British society, so I could write and improve some articles about those topics in Spanish Wiki and outside it. If you are interested in helping me and for receiving further information, please write me at: nayesda.daria@medired.scu.sld.cu Hoping your answer, Ivan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.220.215.11 (talk) 06:33, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
