Hi Annepluus: I've just edited Kathleen Fitzpatrick's talk page. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on working with this information. CreativeLink (talk) 01:08, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anke:

This is Genevieve. I've been looking at KP's page and thought it would be good to include a section on the making of Planned Obsolescence, especially the review process. The following has not been edited at all and links have not been added. Please note, I'll also add this note on Holly's talk page as well:

"Lisa Spiro the Executive Director of Digital Scholarship at Rice Fondren Library conducted two reviews of Fitzpatrick's Planned Obsolescence in July 2008, and November 2009. The review is available on Media Commons Press. Its format allows comments to specific paragraphs creating a collaborative peer review process between author and those posting comments.

Spiro's review targets Fitzpatrick's ideas around changing the review process, including collaboration in authorship, peer review, publishing and the relationship between libraries and the university press."

That's all I have for now. Please let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks Anke

Hi Annepluus: No, I don't know Holly's email address. I did ask her for that in Gmail but I have not heard from her yet.

Here's a bit more that we could use as a bullet list:

Portions of Kathleen Fitzpatrick's Planned Obsolescence has been printed in:

  • The Journal of Electronic Publishing, Fall, 2007
  • The Modern Language Association of America, May 2008
  • The Cinema Journal, Winter 2009
  • Social epistemology|Social Construction of Knowledge, Fall, 2010
  • ADE Bulletin, Winter, Spring 2011

Have a great night Annepluus CreativeLink (talk) 00:34, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
