Speedy deletion nomination of HotForex
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on HotForex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ArglebargleIV (talk) 17:29, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Exa Web page
[edit]Ankaraman, thanks for visiting the page addn adding your comments. There were couple of reviews and comments added earlier as well and the article has been reviewd, content rewritten with a neutral POV and extraneous links removed and required references added. Please visit the page and review and reconsider your vote. thank you. Sajal12 (talk) 11:08, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- As per the Wikipedia guidelines every new content that comes to wiki should have verifiable resources, mentioned in the article. If there is none, then the page will be removed and marked spam or advert. Add sufficient resources to justify the fact you are putting up in the page. Ankaraman (talk) 11:19, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok. Now, its much better. However, the contents still needs to be improved to signify the neutrality of the content. Ankaraman (talk) 13:20, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Please review the page and consider recasting vote for notability. The content has been re-written and clearly depicts the notability of the article. Thank you. Sajal12 (talk) 08:39, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
Richard Skinner (MP) etc
[edit]I'm wondering if you tagged this with the wrong tag - how can a stub about an MP who died over 400 years ago be promotional? Can't get him for notability either, being an MP. You also tagged A Martínez as spam. I've declined as it isn't, but I've changed someone's BLP-unsourced tag to a Prod-BLP which is what it should have had in the first place. I'm noticing a few wrong tags all round since this Page Curation thing started. Could be a problem there. Keep a watch to make sure it's not putting wrong tags on (and make sure you aren't too....). ;) Peridon (talk) 19:00, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
I removed your speedy deletion tag, because it was clearly not spam; see Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#Articles and WP:SPAM. Bearian (talk) 19:21, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
You should also have informed the page's creator. Clearly a valid page. Boleyn (talk) 20:47, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Spam tags
[edit]I've seen a few of these from you now - if it is you and not the software, can I ask you to read WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV? For speedy deletion, it has to be fairly clear. Anything saying "We strive to provide an excellent service to our customers. Please contact us on..." is undeniably advertising. Other key words can be 'offering' and 'solutions' - but be careful. Brine is a solution, but not usually advertising. Plain factual material may sometimes be intended to promote the subject, by leading up to (or more blatantly, incorporating in the body of the text) a link to a commercial site. Care is needed here, too. In fact, care is needed everywhere in speedy deletion. If in doubt, ask someone or use PROD or AfD. Don't be afraid to ask if you're not sure. We're here to help. Peridon (talk) 19:32, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'd also suggest not tagging spam for now until we get the problem addressed. Peridon (talk) 19:32, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Punjab University (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]I've deleted it as promo, and added A7 significance. However, I suspect it of possibly being an elaborate hoax. If it comes back and I'm around, I'll take it to AfD and see if anyone can dig anything up. Cheers. Peridon (talk) 19:33, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Exemption from the general notability guidelines?
[edit]Seeing this edit, I'm curious about why a web framework would not come under the WP:GNG? I can appreciate that one might choose to substitute a more specific Notability category for the GNG in some situations, but it surely serves as what it says - the general catch-all - and that one would not leave such an article (referenced primarily to its own documentation) with no notability tag? Hello Ankaraman, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Kurio, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a test page. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 09:24, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi. Just to let you know I have declined your speedy deletion request at India.com, as the article does not appear to be unambiguously promotional - it appears to be written in a neutral and objective tone. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:31, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Yesod (web framework) - notability and primary sources templates
[edit]Hi! I have added refs. and links to docs about the article Yesod (web framework) from three Universities, and a few independent bloggers. So maybe you may remove the notability and primary sources templates. Cheers! Griba2010 (talk) 12:36, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
