Monobook

Two questions, how did you automatically have your comments generated here in this message box? And also how do I exactly install your 'round' monobook skin. I'm used to copying a set of files into my skin folders along with a php file, but yours is just a css file. I'd like to use it just to modify my current monobook. Create User:Bluesoju/Editnotice, and whatever is there will be displayed as is the notice on the edit-screen of my talk page. You install my monobook skin by going to your monobook.css file and typing this:

@import "http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Animum/monobook.css&action=raw&ctype=text/css"; /* [[User:Animum/monobook.css]] */

You can override settings of my "round" skin by typing CSS attributes after the "@import" statement. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have. —Animum (talk) 23:23, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I also feel rude because the first thing I should've told you was how awesome your skin is. Thanks for making it! I however just tried to install it, by monobook.css file i think you mean main.css right? Because I don't see a monobook.css, or do you mean monobook.php? Oh, I assumed you were using it locally! If you're using it for an entire wiki, copy all the content at User:Animum/monobook.css and put it in your main.css file. The corners appear rounded to me, though. Have you cleared your cache?

If you want the background of the tabs to be changed to black, add background-color: black; to the #p-cactions li statement. If you want the tabs' borders to be black, follow the instructions I just gave you, replacing background-color: black with border:1px solid black. I opened it in firefox and the corners were round. However in google chrome and internet explorer it's still square corners for me. Everything else seems to be fine, the search buttons look different and the sidebar shape is different as well, just no roundness. are you using firefox? Bluesoju (talk) 04:55, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I use Firefox. Right now, Internet Explorer does not support corner-rounding CSS. —Animum (talk) 19:13, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

The script count.js isn't working for me (I just changed ISPs though so it might be possibly caused by a load of variables):

I think that's part of User:Voice of All/History/monobook.js, but it still works for me, though I can't tell what the problem is. Can you e-mail me anything related to Voice of All's script that you see in the Error Console? —Animum (talk) 23:51, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Um, what error console? By the way I just confirmed that it's an Internet connection with a certain ISP that's making it malfunction. I know because on the same computer I tried logging in with another ISP and it worked. -- Mentifisto 19:35, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Your easy block script

Hi there Animum!

Your easy block script allows your to block users as a sock, however, can you create another option for "confirmed sock", that will use the {{checkedSockpuppet}} template on the user, with the usage of {{CheckedSockpuppet|username|SPI request subpage title}} - asking for the username of the sock and maybe using the same username for the case? An example of it's usage is here, but the user talk message will still be needed.
