File source and copyright licensing problem with File:MetaDOS cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MetaDOS cover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vladlen Manilov ✉ / 13:01, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Garena Free Fire into Draft:MetaDOS. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 15:56, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. Could you please share some examples? I'm sorry I'm new with editing wiki pages. Anh DOS (talk) 08:47, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yes. For example, if you wanted to copy text that is currently in the Garena Free Fire article into your draft, Draft:MetaDOS, you could write this in the edit summary:
copied content from [[Garena Free Fire]]; see that page's history for attribution
. The reasoning behind this is that the text was originally written by other Wikipedia editors, and the licensing terms require attributing them when you re-use that text. Another example on an unrelated article is this edit, where I provided attribution for text copied from another article. DanCherek (talk) 01:18, 6 February 2022 (UTC)- Many thanks Anh DOS (talk) 02:43, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
