Welcome to Wikipedia
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, AngryBeaver, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Your RfA
[edit]Three times now your RfA has been added to WP:RFA and three times now it has been removed. The reasons are simple:
- The nomination has not been accepted
- The nomination is not properly formed
Also, the simple fact that you have a grand total of 7 edits, more than half of which are to the RfA, means the RfA's chances of passing are nil. For your own knowledge; the lowest edit count that an editor has passed RfA with since June 23, 2005 (when I began collecting this information) was 767 edits. Nobody will make a serious support vote for you with 7 edits to your credit. There's just no way we can review what you've done, and make estimations of how you might be able to handle the extra duties and responsibilities of being an administrator. Please, for your own good, stop trying to put up an RfA for now. Wait a few months, amass a bunch of edits, and try again. Have a look at WP:GRFA. That should help. --Durin 22:07, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Images on your userpage
[edit]At present, all of the images that are on your userpage are "fair use" images. Please see the policy on fair use, specifically item #9 in that section which says "[fair use images] should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages". Per that policy, you may not use those images currently on your userpage. I respectfully request and recommend you remove them. Thanks, --Durin 22:13, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
.
I have blocked you, Gary the Snail (talk • contribs), and Big Potato (talk • contribs), all of whom were disrupting WP:RFA in a similar fashion. -- ALoan (Talk) 23:03, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Your request for adminship
[edit]Your request for adminship may have been in good faith and I accept that, however the page itself was unlikely to achieve much as it was your second edit to Wikipedia under this username, and was attracting vandalism from several newly created usernames. As such it has been speedily deleted. If you are a genuine user and would like further clarification as to what this is all about, please do not hesitate to contact me on my user talk page. -- Francs2000 23:02, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit]AngryBeaver, User:Big Potato and User:Gary the Snail are all sockpuppets of 70.248.125.230 (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log). See the IP's talkpage with its moving appeals for release from an undeserved autoblock. :-( Bishonen | talk 00:10, 21 January 2006 (UTC).
