Hello

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for writing the article Joanne King. Unfortunately, it does not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, and has, as a result, been marked for deletion. However, please do not be disheartened by what may or may not happen to your first article, if indeed it is deleted - please continue to edit Wikipedia and add articles which conform with the inclusion criteria. For help, see Help:Contents. To find out what will probably be deleted, see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Thanks, and if you have any questions, please ask them on my user talk page. To do this, click on my name (just after this sentence) and click discussion at the top and then the (+) button at the top. Angus McLellan (Talk) 00:35, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Me again. Thank you for trying again. This looks much better! More references would be nice, so if you know of any magazine articles or newspaper articles on Joanne, it would be worth adding them to the article. If she's been interviewed on chat shows, probably worth mentioning that too. Anyway, thanks again! If you have any questions, you can leave me a message (click on talk after my name), or ask at the Wikipedia:Help desk, or add {{helpme}} (helpme inside two sets of curly brackets) and someone will come be along. All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 21:31, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there are all sorts of complicated ways to add the things, but the easiest is to just to add the link to the Mirror website in the external links. So something like this * [http://www.mirror.co.uk/showbiz/latest/2007/03/24/i-landed-casualty-job-in-lunch-break-89520-18801319/ Daily Mirror] interview with Joanne King [[24 March]] [[2007]]. Hope this helps, Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:20, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You should also take a look at WP:BIO and WP:BLP for notability guidelines, and WP:RS for sourcing requirements. --Evb-wiki 22:43, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried to answer your question on my talk page, where you asked it. --Evb-wiki 23:01, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} My page I made about Joanne King, it says there isn't a source for her opening up a cafe for charity, but there was something wrong with the link and ive changed it, can it be changed now?

Hello Angie, please review this page and this page, to understand the difference between reliable sources and external links. You've added two BBC news reports, which would be considered reliable sources, to the external links section, and they should be added as citations (see the templates to format them here) with a references section added. If, after reading through the information, you are not sure how to do it, I'd be happy to do that for you, just let me know. Cheers, ArielGold 22:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
