Just click on "my preferences" at the top of the page. In the third box down you can play with your signature. Mine is really simple Wiki type markup, [[User:CambridgeBayWeather|Enter CambridgeBayWeather,]] [[Special:Contributions/CambridgeBayWeather|waits for audience applause,]] [[User_talk:CambridgeBayWeather|not a sausage]]. Other people have fancier ones see, here for the code and here for the result. You should have a look at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing your signature and the links section below that. Also looking through WP:ANI or WP:Reference desk should give you some idea of what sort of thing can be done with a signature. While you are in the prferences section don't forget to take a look at some of the other things that you can change. Cheers.
