At the risk of sounding patronizing -- and I hope to god that I don't -- I'd like to express my surprise at your involvement in Wikipedia (let me add right away that I am by no stretch of the imagination terribly involved in Wikipedia -- although I can, will, and do occasionally edit an article or two); because when I was in high school, (and no, I have no intention of telling you my age) my peers (With the possible exception of the debate club -- they were always conducting research. The computer club focused on programming -- largely, I think, because the World Wide Web did not exist at the time; certainly, we didn't have access to the internet.) had zero interest in bookworm-ish stuff.

Anyhow, I've rambled on with my inanities long enough. Good day!
