Hi Angelinaquins! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Doctree (I'm a Teahouse host)

Minor edits and a couple of comments

[edit]

Hi, Angelina. From a quick look, your edits are correct except that some aren't minor. For example, removing an external link is not minor. See WP:MINOR for more details. Only click that 'minor' button when the edit is really minor such as correcting a spelling error (but be sure that it's an error because many pages are written with British English rather than American).

Thanks for the barn star but I should have to do far more than invite you to the Teahouse to deserve one.

A couple of suggestions:

 • Go to your preferences and near the bottom of your profile tab, look for Signature. Copy and paste Angelina_Quins (talk·cont) into the box and check the Treat the above as wikimarkup button and your name will appear as you prefer.
 • Start your User page. Just a sentence or two about your Wikipedia activity and goals, per WP:USERPAGE. You may want to choose some user boxes to decorate your page. Click on the user name of anyone to see their userpage and of course, click the edit tab to see how they made it look how it looks.

Nice work. Looks like you have a bit of experience with wikis or did a lot of reading before jumping in. Take care, DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·ʇuoɔ) Join WER 17:56, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Angelinaquins. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Richard Haberkern, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

 • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
 • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
 • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
 • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Logical Cowboy (talk) 00:50, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shanaya Fastje, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
