- I'm the person in question, you have now reverted my factual corrections to easily verifiable mistakes in the original article Andysnitzer (talk) 23:53, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- If you prefer to publish obvious errors re my professional history, birth date, early life, and education, carry on. I won't provide these corrections twice. Andysnitzer (talk) 23:55, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Andy Snitzer. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 00:00, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- this article, about ME, is riddled with obvious and verifiable errors.
- If this is the accuracy standard of Wikipedia, the reputation for errors is unsurprising. Andysnitzer (talk) 00:02, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Then you will need to discuss those issues on the talk page; you may not use article space to address your concerns. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 00:08, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- No thanks, you're welcome to an article riddled with amateurish errors, easily found by reading any published bio about me. Andysnitzer (talk) 00:11, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Andy Snitzer, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. 14 novembre (talk) 00:07, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- I am the person in question, Andy Snitzer. The article is riddled with embarrassing factual errors, and the fact that it was published in the first place and passed whatever alleged standards exist incriminates anyone that worked on this article. Andysnitzer (talk) 00:09, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Andysnitzer. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 00:08, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
recent edit conundrum
[edit]greetings and good afternoon,
i noticed you were having difficulty editing an article to reflect what you believe to be factual content.
your best bet is to hire a technical writer specializing in reference editing, and have them declare their relationship to the subject and then make the correctly cited, sourced, and uncontroversial changes.
this might cut back on frustration and lead to better copy with increased accuracy.
have a wikipedia day, Augmented Seventh (talk) 01:27, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hire a technical writer 😅
- Tried to do wiki a favor, not worth any more of my time. Wiki prefers to defend comical mis-statements of fact, reputation deserved... Andysnitzer (talk) 02:36, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- thank you for taking the time to attempt to keep the encyclopedia accurate.
- your knowledge is welcome, provided it's sourced. Augmented Seventh (talk) 02:46, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- The original article isn't sourced 😅. References my bio, but three seconds of research at my website would expose the comical mistakes; instead we have this exchange, where you defend the obvs erroneous. Show me the "source" for me growing up in Rochester NY, a place I've barely even visited. Even my date of birth is wrong! Laughable.
- You hear all the talk about how bad this is, now I'm living it. I wonder how many other articles on wiki are riddled with amateurish errors? Probably a lot. Andysnitzer (talk) 07:16, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
