Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Promotional articles about yourself, your friends, your company or products, or articles created as part of a marketing or promotional campaign, will be deleted in accordance with our deletion policies. Furthermore, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not merely a repository of indiscriminate information. Not every subject merits an entry in an encyclopedia. We have to draw a line somewhere, and the notability guidelines are the community's consensus on where that line should be. --Finngall talk 02:08, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Panraven

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Panraven requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of WorldMate

[edit]

A tag has been placed on WorldMate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Re:WorldMate

[edit]

Hi, from the deletion discussion, it appears that the article was written like an advertisement.

I would suggest

  1. If WorldMate really is notable, show it by adding links to media coverage, achievements etc (3rd party links) to the article.
  2. Make it neutral and not advertisement.

Start writing in your own Sandbox : User:Andykatz22/WorldMate until its done, don't recreate the article in mainspace or the administrators will lock it. Unpopular Opinion (talk) 15:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm no one to review an article and "approve" it. I don't know how it differs from the previously deleted versions either. All I can say is try getting some feedback from admins who deleted it earlier. Unpopular Opinion (talk) 19:04, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I will try to make it better by adding infobox, image (company logo?) and more sources if I find any to establish notability. You might want to continue working on it, but I don't promise that it won't be deleted in the end. Some companies just aren't notable from Wikipedia's point of view (notability policies). Until now I haven't found anything notable about that company - its your choice if you want to continue working on the article.Unpopular Opinion (talk) 19:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
