Infobox timestamps

[edit]

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:59, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hampton F.C. (founded 1996) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Hampton F.C. (founded 1996), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Feckenham

[edit]

Hello. Do you have any idea which league the club is now in, or have they dropped out of Saturday football this season? Are there any news sources that cover this? Cheers, Number 57 10:23, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Number 57: Thanks for the message. Unsure as to what the club's intentions are. The club's website hasn't been updated since January while their Twitter feed only seems to reflect a Sunday team. Tried to find a new source to confirm their withdrawal but one doesn't seem to exist, however they definitely aren't part of the Midland Football League this season. Sorry I couldn't help any further. [[Andycwalker (talk) 10:31, 17 August 2021 (UTC)]][reply]
No problem, and thanks for the quick response. Cheers, Number 57 10:46, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Lee Carsley's managerial stats

[edit]

Hello. Noticed your addition of England managerial stats to Mr Carsley's stats table. Looks like you just copied the link to the Soccerbase page from the club manager rows, but Soccerbase doesn't cover underage national team stats. I've left them in place for now, but when you have a minute, please would you add a source (or sources) that do verify the stats. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 09:26, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Struway2: Thanks for flagging. Have now updated with relevant source.

Transfermarkt is not a reliable source

[edit]

Please do not use it as a source. GiantSnowman 20:39, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@GiantSnowman: Thanks for the message and duly noted. Presume this is in reference to Levi Colwill's page. In which case, there's no other way of verifying his England U16 & U17 caps, however you're being unnecessarily troublesome with the update to his England U19 caps. Underneath his 'international career' section, his third cap and first goal for that age group is clearly sourced so should not need an additional source within his national team stats. No other England youth player's page carries this level of unnecessary scrutiny. Andycwalker (talk) 21:39, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Omari Kellyman

[edit]

Hi, saw your edit (Updating England U20 caps) on Omari Kellyman. According to The FA, he didn't play any games in the June international window ([1][2]), in fact he was replaced in the squad [3]. So I was wondering where did you get his U20 stats, was there any hidden fixtures? -- Oscar0123 (talk) 10:54, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Oscar, good flag as I can't recall where that came from so thanks for flagging and correcting. Andycwalker (talk) 11:46, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
