Hello, Andybrevard. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. -- 65.92.180.225 (talk) 07:07, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Andy Anderson
[edit]Say, are you the same person as Badboyzshop (talk · contribs) ? Both of you have only edited pages regarding Brevard County's Andy Anderson. -- 65.92.180.225 (talk) 06:15, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Andybrevard
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. 65.92.180.225 (talk) 06:27, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
As it appears that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Andy A. Anderson was copied by Badboyzshop (talk · contribs) out of your sandbox User:Andybrevard/sandbox, I've asked for an administrator to merge the two together. This will add your contributions to that of Badboyzshop in the history of the article request.
Since your userpage also appears to be a mistake in replicating your sandbox to User:Andybrevard your userpage, I've asked an administrator to fix that as well.

Sorry for confusion. The user name "AndyBrevard" was chosen as it was my first article that I have attempted to write. I'm new to wiki and didn't realize that that user name would make it appear that there was a conflict of interest - I am not Andy Anderson. I'm learning. I have abandoned utilizing "AndyBrevard" - just copied the content as I did not want to rewrite. I appreciate any guidance or suggestions. I am starting two more articles (writing offline now) and want to follow guidelines. There is much to learn - but very enjoyable!

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Andy A. Anderson, from its old location at User:Andybrevard. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. North America1000 05:13, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
