A tag has been placed on Drug education forum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:Drug education forum. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. DarkSaber2k 14:45, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Drug Education Forum
[edit]Hi, first of all, it seems that indeed the part about the website/forum might have been a bit wrong :). There were 2 main problems with your article:
- The article did not explain why the DEF was notable. That is a very important criteria all our articles must meet. The Notability Guidelines will explain to you our criteria better than I would ;).
- The text of the article was taken from a website, making it a copyright violation. All text in Wikipedia is licensed under the GFDL license. That means that anyone can use this content, modify it, and even make money with it. This license is very restrictive and we can't accept material that might not be suitable. There are ways to release the content of http://www.drugeducationforum.com under the GFDL, but most of the time you'd want to think twice before doing that :). There's a notice at the bottom of the website stating 2004 © Drug Education Forum.
I'd like to point that of course you are encouraged to write a new version of the article, provided that you follow these two rules. If you need further help, please don't hesitate to post on my talk page or to put {{helpme}} followed by your question on this page. -- lucasbfr talk 14:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
