Those were there when the article had pictures(now deleted) and were used so that the pictures would not run into the next section. Thank you for removing them, they really don't add much to the article now. MythSearchertalk 16:14, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

diff I think that might have been a "cat on keyboard edit"! Tim Vickers (talk) 00:51, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It may be a valid section, but all the material is poorly sourced. I agree that Digimon Tamers was very similar to Evangelion but since it's unsourced, it is considered original research. The same goes for the Simpsons' reference. Homer said a purple robot, but never specified it was Unit 01 (though I don't remember such comment).Tintor2 (talk) 20:03, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Images in your User Space

[edit]

Hey there AndrewTJ31, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some images that I found on User:AndrewTJ31/Whose Line Is It Anyway? (U.S. TV series). In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page. See a log of images removed today here, shutoff the bot here and report errors here. Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:00, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese song titles

[edit]

As a practice on the English Wikipedia, Japanese song titles are never translated into English unless it is how the original artist has chosen to translate the title, how the copyright owners have chosen to translate the title, or if the title is written in katakana and could be easily translated because it is a word from a language that is not Japanese. The theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion as far as I am aware has never been referred to as "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" in Japan, the language of its origin. It may literally translate as such, but the name is "残酷な天使のテーゼ", which when romancized becomes "Zankoku na Tenshi no Tēze". However, "tēze" comes from the German word "These", which is German for "Thesis". So, using this, the proper title of this song is "Zankoku na Tenshi no These" and not "A Cruel Angel's Thesis".—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese songs have their titles not translated into English but transliterated from Japanese per the rules of WP:MOS-JA.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:25, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"removing unnecessary spaces"

[edit]

I'm confused by this and other similar edits. Why was this even necessary? There is nothing wrong with the white space, they don't produce any unwanted affects, and it is strongly advised that you don't change them. In fact, mass-scale edits of this type would be interpreted as a violation of an ArbCom ruling about arbitrarily changing acceptable styles. —Farix (t | c) 21:06, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
