students to mentor
Per recent discussions on the Ambassadors list, we're going to try out assigning mentors to some of the students that don't have one, beginning with Media, Politics & Power in the Digital Age. Would you be willing to mentor User:Zezinez and User:Mason2011?
If so, please introduce yourself to each of them, perhaps along these lines:
"Hi! I'm AndrewN, and I've been assigned as your mentor. (If you'd rather choose your own mentor or don't want one, just let me know; you can request a different mentor from this list of Online Ambassadors.)
I'll keep an eye on your edits as you work on Wikipedia for your class, and try to pitch in where I can. If you'd like any help or advice, please let me know."
After that, don't forget to update Wikipedia:Online Ambassadors/Mentors to list your mentees, and if you've reached your limit, move your entry down to the "additional ambassadors" section.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 19:12, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Online Ambassador selection process
Please share you views on the current version of the proposed Online Ambassador selection process, which the steering committee has recommended for adoption by the ambassadors program. Once we settle on a selection process, we can start recruiting more Online Ambassadors for next term (in which we will have more students, and the students will be more involved with mentors from early on).--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 15:26, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Dispute on "Promotional Material"
Hi I have noticed that you have just undone what I added to Beijing Normal University. I can only say that what I have added has nothing to do with "promotional material".
Go check other universities in China: Nankai University, Wuhan University, Fudan University..."Famous"? "Oldest"? "Prestigious"? Who says that?
Actually, I have been modest when I say BNU is one of most prominent universities in China. And BNU is one of the oldest too.
I wish you were Chinese, then you can understand me better.

- Mostly cleaned up the other articles now. Promotional, uncited, and peacock terms should not be added to articles. These comments are mostly opinions and are not to be included in an article. Of course, you may include ranking information and such, but only with proper sources. Netalarmtalk 00:50, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Netalarm. I have noticed what you have done. However, Fudan University is still "one of the oldest and most selective universities in China", and it is 3 yrs younger than Beijing Normal University. Can I add the same thing to Beijing Normal University? And Wuhan University "is regarded as one of the top ten universities in China."? I would like to meet the person who has that opinion. Can I add the same thing to Beijing Normal University. OK. I am not trying to start a fight or something. But I really want to know your opinions when it comes to this kind of stuff. Thanks a lot!Visame (talk) 01:05, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
