{{Help me}}
We uploaded a picture of Eric Hedlin to this new page
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Hedlin
soon a warning was added to the photo saying it lacked adequate permission for use on Wikipedia. We asked the photographer to email his permission to use the photo to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org which he did (cc'ing us) There was no response that we know of and no status change on the website. The picture was then removed. Can someone give us some advice on this? We're not sure what to do next. We're ready to reload the jpg but would rather get it right this time. Thank you, Michael Hedlin (Eric's dad)

- Took some finding! Image was on commons - you should have used your commons talk page at commons:User talk:AndrewHuvud. Anyway, since I'm an admin there as well, I have restored it and added the "OTRS pending" template - you now have 30 days to get permission. The license may need to be changed to reflect whatever the permission letter states. It may takes a while for Wikipedia to pick up the image. BTW - a second upload would not have worked, the system checks for duplicates on each upload - including deleted images. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:18, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
