Help request

[edit]

{{help me}} This help request has been moved from Talk:Get_Your_Sexy_Back - please put help requests on your user talk page, not on the article page, thanks. --  Chzz  ►  03:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to Wikipedia and am trying to de-orphan this article. Is it possible to include articles written by the media? And if so, how do I go about doing this? Some of the links include: http://www.youth.sg/content/view/4071/66/ http://theurbanwire.com/2008/10/23/get-your-sexy-back/ I would also like to include images for the article, like the logo, event pictures and such. How should I go about with this? Please let me know, I have been trying for the longest of times! Andreana soh (talk) 02:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, and welcome. I think that the information below will help; briefly, a) you can use media as a reference to support the facts given in an article; you can quote short sections, but cannot copy large portions. For information on images, see WP:IMAGE. Thanks, --  Chzz  ►  03:17, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for helping me with this. I am actually one of the people involved in the project and would like to add some pictures from the events that we have had as well as the Get Your Sexy Back (GYSB) logo. I have previously tried to upload the GYSB logo but was declined the privilege to do so due to copyright issues. Is there any way around this seeing that I can get authorisation from the relevant people in charge?Andreana soh (talk)

Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello, Andreana soh. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started.

  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us here, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • I suggest that you try to improve a few articles first, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!
