Image copyright problem with Image:Map_big_down.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Map_big_down.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. Minister for Macedonia and Thrace (Greece)
[edit]Hi, I just noticed that you moved Minister for Macedonia–Thrace (Greece) to Minister for Macedonia and Thrace (Greece). May I ask why? I wrote the original article and took the title from the ministry website, which states that the name of the ministry is "Υπουργείο Μακεδονίας - Θράκης". A search on google will come up with only 80 odd hits for "Υπουργείο Μακεδονίας και Θράκης", and 43,500 for "Υπουργείο Μακεδονίας-Θράκης". Unless you can give me some valid reason for your change, I'll proceed to have it reverted to what it was originally. Best regards, --Damac 08:48, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Your detective work
[edit]Hi, thanks a lot for your brilliant job at clarifying Spyridon Stais and Valerios Stais. Quite impressive. I'm not quite sure when I'll find time to actually rewrite the relevant articles, but I think we can consider the problem solved. Fut.Perf. ☼ 17:38, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
You are welcome. Well, I can put the information I found in the articles. --Anastasios 06:18, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Map big down.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Map big down.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I use this file Commons:File:Thessaloniki metro.png in Template:Thessaloniki Metro. I believe there is a copyright problem with the logo of Attiko Metro, which is embedded in the map. This makes the whole image "non-free" and unsuitable for Commons. If someone notices it, he may mark mark it for deletion. If he is an admin, he may delete it immediately. As I am not very familiar with lnkscape and SVG graphics, could you please remove the logo? The logo could be uploaded on en-Wiki as a fair use image. See also [1] for the latest issue of AM map (01/2009) in PNG format. Sv1xv (talk) 05:37, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 4
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Czech and Slovak Orthodox Church, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tome (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:27, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Simitis ue.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Simitis ue.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:49, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Anastasios. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Anastasios~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
Community Liaison, Wikimedia Foundation
