User talk:Anachron10
Hello Anachron. I am Marcus Pennell aka wizardprank on Wikipedia. We seem to have got into a ping pong match with you entry to the Megatripolis page, which obviously neither of us is going to win. So let's talk. I appreciate that you want to have your input on the page, but that doesn't make it simply OK to force changes which only make sense to you. Wikipedia isn't a graffiti wall where everyone's input is valid. If the input is valid, it deserves to stay. If it is not valid, then it is the duty of the page's original creator (me) to delete it. Your input is not valid. Let me explain why. "The club began as a commercial venture" And? What west end club didn't? This states the obvious and therefore does not need stating. In actual fact, I can argue that it is technically incorrect because the first night at Heaven was free.
"and after internal pressures split the club apart in 1995," This repeats something which is already in the article. Also, it rather clumsily repeats the word 'club'.
"it continued as an underground project until its close." It did not. Where did you get such an idea? Megatripolis was as overt as it could be from beginning to end. And believe me, I know because I was involved with promoting and managing the club from the first planning meetings in 93 through to the close in 96 (with six months out in early 95). I am glad you have taken the apostrophe out of 'its' by the way, that was really making my toes curl. It is for these reasons that I have deleted your input, and will continue to do so. I am not saying don't have any input. I am not asking you to leave the page alone. I am asking you to find something relevant to add, and to do it with a bit of style. Sent in friendship. Marcus
