Thanks for uploading Image:Andy cairns.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. --Tawker 23:38, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category recreated

[edit]

Hi, Beyonce. I notice that you created this Category:Irish speakers recently. I should tell you that this category existed previously under the name Irish (Gaeilge) language speakers and it was decided in May that it should be deleted (see the CFD debate). I don't think anything has changed as regards the category since May, so this category should not really have been created as it is the same one under a different name. I can see you have put a good bit of work into adding this to different pages, but unfortunately I have to say that it should probably be deleted. Tameamseo (talk) 18:07, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, and sorry - I haven't been very active here before, so I was unaware of the discussion above. I still think that it's a valuable category though, since actual Irish speakers are not exactly common in Ireland and therefore it is definitely something worth noting. It's certainly not the case that we can assume that all Irish people speak Irish. I respect the points made already and the decision made, but I still find it hard to see how this is not note-worthy information. --Beyonce (talk) 18:54, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Beyonce! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 130 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Harry Ryan (hurler) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File:Michael cusack.gif missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Michael cusack.gif is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:28, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Michael Phelan (hurler) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only one in-depth source relating to the subject appears to exist. Currently fails WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. When you recently edited Clondalkin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Labour (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
