Hi there, I just read the message you left on my talk page about not understanding why the Coach Billy Turner article is up for deletion. Did you read the post on the discussion page where Bearcat tried to explain this to you, or read the guidelines he pointed out? This would be the first step in understanding why it's up for deletion. As for helping you correct the article, I don't know what you mean by correcting. If the subject doesn't pass notability guidelines for inclusion, there's nothing I can correct that would make the person notable.

I also note this statement you made on my talk page, "The man is dying and I would like to do this as my assignment but also as a tribute for all his work". I'm sorry to hear this but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a place for posting tributes to people. If you want to pay tribute to him, I'm sure you could find many sites online where those types of articles can be written, but Wikipedia is not one of them. I didn't have an issue with the references, I was just doing cleanup by grouping them. That's a common thing to do, it just means that instead of writing the same citation 6 times, we can give the first appearance a group name, and then just use the group name for the other 5 times. It's still there in the article, but listed once. WP:REFNAME explains this better that I can.
As for the notability, I rarely get involved, leaving that to more experienced editors or those more familiar with the topic. I usually just do cleanup and have no real opinion as to the notability of the subject. The best thing to do here, is to make your case on the deletion discussion page rather than my talk page since it has a better chance of being seen by other editors where on my talk page, the only person whose going to see it is me. I just noticed you posted to the deletion discussion before I even left my reply asking you to discuss there. Must have been editing at the same time, I wouldn't have mentioned this if I checked before saving, sorry. Cmr08 (talk) 09:00, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
