Welcome
[edit]Hello, Amyderouvray, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you have edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then get me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that if more than one person is using this account to edit, then unfortunately it will be blocked from editing.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Conflict of interest
[edit]If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article ESI Group, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 08:29, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
ESI Group
[edit]Hello MuffledThud,
Thank you for contacting me.
I have difficulty understanding why the content on my page ESI Group should cause any problem. This is unbiased, factual content about ESI Group, the company I work for. The idea is to get this started so that other users can contribute, edit, add to this page.
I have cut the content from ESI Group and pasted it on my user page, as you suggested. Please proof-read and let me know whether any of it needs to be changed.
FYI, several of our competitors are mentioned on Wikipedia as well. Please refer to:
- LS-DYNA
- ANSYS
- MSC Software
- Abaqus
- Altair Engineering
- CD-adapco
- and others listed here: List of finite element software packages

- Hello. I strongly suggest that you not edit this article at all, since you are the marketing manager for the company according to this LinkedIn page. This is a WP:Conflict of interest which will make it nearly impossible for you to write objectively on the subject. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 08:52, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Hello again MuffledThud,
I don't understand this justification for blocking my rights on Wikipedia.
Our competitors are clearly writing about themselves, as shown in the links below. How could this not be allowed for ESI Group? I have placed content that is only factual, non-biased.
Please advise.

- If you can provide evidence of a similar WP:Conflict of interest and biased prose in other articles, I'd be glad to help you correct it, but please also see WP:OTHERSTUFF: it's not hard to find examples of advertising on Wikipedia, but they all get cleaned up eventually, one at a time. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 13:56, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
