Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!

[edit]

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 09:56, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Amjaabc! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Thomas Helmig - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Kylie Minogue

[edit]

Hi. I saw you corrected some articles I created about albums of Australian singer Kylie Minogue. However, her main article (Kylie Minogue) needs to be corrected. It would be great to expand it as well by using information from her article in English (Kylie Minogue). Thanks. Actually, not particularly. I just think it is fun to learn more about a specific topic, in this case a town that I had never heard of before. Thanks for appreciating anyway. --Amjaabc (talk) 12:49, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Catalan culture challenge

[edit]

Hello! I've seen that you joined the Gibraltarpedia challenge and I just wanted to inform you that From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). It would be lovely to have an experienced player like you on board. We look forward to seeing you! Amical Wikimedia--Kippelboy (talk) 09:01, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
