Speedy deletion nomination of Persian Gulf complex
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Persian Gulf complex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Persian Gulf complex. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 13:00, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Personal note
[edit]Hi! I am not a bot. I can understand why you might be confused by the messages you've gotten, which don't explain very clearly why the article you created was a problem. There are three major problems:
- The article is about a subject which doesn't appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a directory of everything in the world, and only needs articles about the most notable subjects.
- The article doesn't cite any reliable sources verifying its information
- The article appears to be an advertisement, and you appear to be a person who might have a conflict of interest regarding this subject.
Please, read those links and make sure you understand them before you create any more new articles- I want you to enjoy contributing to Wikipedia, which means understanding the rules of how the encyclopedia works. Thanks! -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:07, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
